Boston University Caves to Islamic Supremacist Demands

Boston University Caves to Islamic Supremacist Demands - See more at: http://pamelageller.com/2014/02/boston-university-caves-islamic-supremacist-demands.html/#sthash.aF2flMJN.dpuf I work at a university library in Boston, Mass., and books are shelved according to the Dewey Decimal System, not by title or “importance”. Muslim students (most of them from abroad) told administrators that they were offended because the Koran wasn’t given a place of honor on a top shelf, as dictated by Islamic law and custom.

Library staff were then ordered to shift entire sections of books in the stacks so that the Koran could be “honored” appropriately. - See more at: http://pamelageller.com/2014/02/boston-university-caves-islamic-supremacist-demands.html/#sthash.aF2flMJN.dpuf

Idaho Muslim Police Officer Kills a Disabled Man’s Service Dog

Idaho Muslim Police Officer Kicks, Shoots and Kills a Disabled Man’s Service Dog

Dogs are reviled as unclean in Islam.

“Once Gabriel promised the Prophet (that he would visit him, but Gabriel did not come) and later on he said, ‘We, angels, do not enter a house which contains a picture or a dog.’” — Sahih Bukhari 4.54.50
“Abdullah (b. Umar) (Allah be pleased with them) reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs and we would send (men) in Medina and its corners and we did not spare any dog that we did not kill, so much so that we killed the dog that accompanied the wet she-camel belonging to the people of the desert.” — Sahih Muslim 3811
“Ibn Mughaffal reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) ordered killing of the dogs, and then said: What about them, i. e. about other dogs? and then granted concession (to keep) the dog for hunting and the dog for (the security) of the herd, and said: When the dog licks the utensil, wash it seven times, and rub it with earth the eighth time.” — Sahih Muslim 551

The video from Filer police officer Tarek Hassani's dashboard-mounted camera, released Monday by the Filer Police Department, shows the moments leading up to and following Saturday's shooting that left a dog dead. The animal's owner, Rick Clubb, said Hassani's use of force was unwarranted. The Times-News edited the video for length.

Ian Hunter, Roll Away The Stone, Hugo and Luigi - Rockabilly Party (Roulette Records No. 4012 - 1957)

Hugo & Luigi were an American record producing team, made up of songwriters and producers Luigi Creatore and Hugo Peretti, who shared an office in New York's Brill Building. Besides their working relationship, the two were cousins.

First coming to attention with singles released on Mercury Records in the mid-1950s, they went on to produce Perry Como, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke and other artists for RCA Victor, including the hit records "Twistin' The Night Away", "Another Saturday Night", "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens, the Isley Brothers's classic "Shout", and Little Peggy March's "I Will Follow Him". They co-wrote Presley's hit "Can't Help Falling in Love", with George David Weiss. They also produced albums by Della Reese including The Classic Della, a collection of pop songs based on classical themes and Waltz With Me, Della, a collection of popular songs in 3/4 time. Their track, "La Plume de Ma Tante" reached #29 in the UK Singles Chart in July 1959.

Hugo & Luigi were also onetime co-owners of Roulette Records. Songs composed by the duo were often credited to "Mark Markwell", and records they produced carried their distinct logo. While at Roulette Hugo and Luigi did a series of Beautiful Music recordings of "Cascading Voices" and later "Cascading Strings."

After founding Avco Records and producing artists such as The Stylistics in the 1970s, Hugo & Luigi launched a new label, H&L Records, which they ran until they retired, at the end of the decade. Peretti (born December 6, 1916) died on May 1, 1986. ~SOURCE: Wikipedia

Cow Thief Is First American Arrested, Jailed With Drone’s Help

The cow snatcher case was not dismissed on the grounds that there was no warrant for drone surveillance: a federal judge rejected his motion. While we can all chuckle that the perpetrator should have just returned the darn cows to his neighbor after they wandered onto his property, the real interest, and a precedent has been set, as he is the first American to be sent off to prison thanks to drone assistance.

Forbes points out that it’s disconcerting that drones created to protect American borders are now being used to apprehend American citizens, although a manned helicopter could have done the same thing. The danger, though, is that widespread drone use could be easier to achieve than buying a helicopter for every local precinct in the country.

Records obtained by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a civil liberties group, found that CBP Predator drones flew 700 missions between 2010 and 2012 for other law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and local police departments. CBP Predators were equipped with Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar (VADER), developed by the military to detect insurgents in Afghanistan.

The question of whether aerial surveillance requires a warrant is ambiguous, with some court rulings – including a 1986 Supreme Court decision – allowing warrantless surveillance, while other rulings have found it to be unconstitutional.

Common Core, Wrong

What Is Wrong With The Common Core? Where shall we begin? Let’s start with the “state-led” and “voluntary” claims: Common Core was not developed by the states but rather by a DC-based nonprofit called Achieve, Inc., under the auspices of the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). Neither NGA nor CCSSO (which are merely trade associations with private membership lists) had a grant of legislative authority from the states to develop national standards. In fact, Common Core was written by the same progressive education reformers who have been trying to impose a national curriculum for decades. This time, they were savvy enough to invoke the “cover” of NGA so they could paint Common Core as a “state-led” effort. To the extent states had any input, it was limited to offering suggestions that may or may not have been accepted by the people in control. The U.S. Department of Education (USED) did not create the Standards, but it was deeply involved in the effort to gather together the various trade associations and private foundations to do the work that USED wanted done. Once Common Core was created, USED “persuaded” the states to adopt it by tying adoption to the opportunity to obtain Race to the Top (RTTT) funding. No Common Core, no RTTT money. (Since then, USED has also attempted to lure states into the Common Core by dangling No Child Left Behind waivers as a reward for adopting the national Standards and national tests. In both RTTT and NCLB waivers, Georgia took the bait – hook, line, and sinker.) USED is funding the national tests that are being created by two testing consortia (called SMARTER Balanced and PARCC – Georgia is a member of PARCC). Obviously, what’s on the PARCC test will dictate what is taught in Georgia classrooms – in other words, it will dictate curriculum. So by funding the tests, USED will eventually control the Georgia curriculum – in violation of three federal statutes.
