Obama 2014 vs Reagan 1983, 15:11

Obama provoked fury in the U.S. on Thursday by casually devoting less than a minute to the deaths of 295 people aboard a Malaysian airliner, as he began an often jokey 16-minute speech about the need to expand America's transportation infrastructure.

There are no confirmed American dead, although it was feared around the time the president made his remarks that as many as 23 U.S. citizens had perished.

Obama declared in Wilmington, Delaware that 'it looks like it may be a terrible tragedy,' but not before enthusiastically declaring that 'it is wonderful to be back in Delaware.

John Walker. Mitchell, 37, has several aliases, including Mabul Shoatz. He was charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and related offenses, Reuters noted. More from the Daily News: Court records show that Mitchell has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for robbery, theft, burglary and carrying a firearm without a license. Obama Imprisons Another Political Opponent

D'Souza is the first defendant in a case such as this to be imprisoned. The punishment, but not the sentence, is not mitigated by the fact that this is "soft" time in a detention facility. It is just enough to hinder political opposition and not enough to cause outrage.

"The Mujahid brother Nidal Hasan, lightly armed but with a big heart, a strong will and a confident step, again brought into focus the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of America...and most significantly, the Mujahid brother Nidal Hasan is a pioneer, a trailblazer and a role model who has opened the door, lit a path and shown the way forward for every Muslim among the unbelievers and yearns to discharge his duty to Allah and play a part in the defense of Islam and Muslims against the savage, heartless and bloody Zionist Crusader assault on our religion, sacred places and homelands,” read the statement. Anti-Israel And Pro-Palestine Message Found On Mexican Border

Anti-Israel And Pro-Palestine Message Found On Mexican Border: On September 11, 2014, individuals or a group in Mexico hung a message to America over the U.S.-Mexico border wall condemning American support for Israel and declaring support for Palestine. U.S. federal agents discovered the banner draped over the primary border fence in Arizona?s Yuma Sector in a restricted area that could only have been reached from Mexico. The message also contained an image described by authorities as an anarchist symbol. Breitbart Texas recently published a leaked intelligence report from the Texas Department of Public Safety that was distributed to federal agencies and indicated that ISIS members or supporters were known to be discussing the potential use of the porous U.S.-Mexico border as a means of secretly entering the United States.

Ian Hunter, 6 September 2014, The Bell House, Brooklyn

A very poor system to get people into the gig at the site. If you have a ticket, you go on, get your hand stamped, and then walk back to the bar area. The people arriving have to weave their way through the crowd, get stamped, and the return through the crowd the same way they struggled to get in. Then, everyone crowds towards the front to get in. No one knows where the imaginary line is so it gets crowded. The security asks people to cooperate. If they were organized it would be much easier.

I did have to tell "Shorty," the drunk next to me who was trying to impress his gal to stop drinking when he kept bumping me. The joy of standing room only gigs leaves something to be desired.

In any case, great rockin' show. I think they played harder than the night before although the Fairfield gig included a very enthusiastic crowd.

Ian Hunter, 5 September 2014, Fairfield Theatre Company, Fairfield, CT

I ran into Paul before the gig. He was "walking off his dinner." I told him tomorrow night I would be in his back yard: Brooklyn. He said he lives about ten minutes away from The Bell in Brooklyn. I had never been to the Fairfield Theatre Company and Paul said it was an intimate setting and the audience surrounds the band around him and Dennis. His point was very true it is small theater and a very intimate, living room type vibe. There is not a bad seat in the house.
For the first time ever All The Young Dudes segued into "(Miss) Silver Dime" which resulted in a very different version. All you got to do is go Ride on down rock and roll Shine on, Miss Silver Dime Ride on down, rock and roll Blow my sweet mind Blow my sweet mind Ian also played "Old Records Never Die" and stated he has never played it live. I thought he has so I'd have to check at some point. He said the musicians were really down and the first recording for the new record was going poorly. They were recording the night John Lennon was shot and at the time Ian didn't know it but the others did. The gig had some surprises: "Boy" has made it back into the set and I do not believe he has done this live since the Hunter-Ronson days. He introduced "Girl From the Office" as a song that is for the ladies but the guys hate it. "All American Alien Boy" is the song that killed his career, which has has said before, and he added, "Sure, you all like it now but you didn't forty years ago." He also did "Michael Picasso," "The Way You Look Tonight," "When I'm President," "Ta Shunka Witco (Crazy Horse)," and "Black Tears."
