9/11: Obama Declares "Interfaith Day of Service"

Americans may have noticed that all of the hijackers on 9/11 were Muslims. Despite this simple fact, Obama has declared 9/11 an Interfaith Day of Service in solidarity with his Muslim roots. The details of the Day are explained and how State Department employees are to be sensitive to the religious requirements of Islam.

The focus of the Interfaith Day is Islamic. The action request asks State personnel to support mosques: “Organize a food-drive for the end of Ramadan with religious leaders and citizens in Muslim communities to donate to a local mosque or community.” And it directs State personnel to a handy “list of Ramadan 2009 outreach materials for Muslim communities.”

In this country we have the separation of church and state but nothing of the sort separates the state and the mosque. The State Department is organizing donation drives for mosques.

Obama stated at his White House Ramadan dinner:

“Islam, as we know, is part of America. Together we have a responsibility to foster engagement grounded in mutual interest and mutual respect.” He said that this was one of his fundamental commitments as president both at home and abroad. That is central to the new beginning that I’ve sought between the United States and Muslims around the world and that is a commitment that we can renew once again during this holy season.”

Obama is pandering to groups sympathetic to destroying our country. Who needs al-Qaeda when we have Obama.

SUBJECT: INTERFAITH DAY OF SERVICE

REF: 09 STATE 77580

1. This is an action request (Para 4). The Department encourages posts to consider organizing an Interfaith Day of Service in their host countries as a way to commemorate the anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

2. President Obama called for interfaith service to foster collaboration between people across the world in his Cairo speech: "Indeed, faith should bring us together. And that's why we're forging service projects in America to bring together Christians, Muslims, and Jews. Around the world, we can turn dialogue into interfaith service, so bridges between peoples lead to action -- whether it is combating malaria in Africa, or promoting relief after a natural disaster."

3. Interfaith service has been an inextricable part of Americans' dedication to serving others, which as early as 1831 was identified as a distinctive American characteristic by Frenchman Alexis de Tocqueville. In State 77580, Secretary Clinton specifically encouraged Department of State employees to support President Obama's domestic United We Serve campaign that embraces this tradition of community service. By participating in an Interfaith Day of Service, posts have the unique opportunity to expand the domestic commemoration of 9/11 as the National Day of Service and Remembrance -- as signed into law by President Obama on April 21, 2009 -- into a global initiative.

4. ACTION REQUEST: Posts are encouraged to plan an Interfaith Day of Service to commemorate 9/11 that would send a message of goodwill, cooperation, and shared interest to their host countries and their religious communities. To accommodate posts in countries where Muslims may be observing Ramadan until/about September 19, posts are requested to plan an Interfaith Day of Service between September 11 and October 18, 2009. We encourage you to bring together leaders of different religious backgrounds and identify jointly a priority project. Those leaders would encourage their members to join mission employees and resident Americans in working together on a community project. We request that posts keep their regional bureaus informed of their 9/11 commemoration plans so that the information can be made available to interested USG officials and agencies.

5. Sustainability is a key theme of President Obama's United We Serve campaign and Secretary Clinton's remarks at the Global Philanthropy Forum where she announced the appointment of the Special Representative for Global Partnerships (S/GPI) and described the Department's role as a convener, catalyst, and collaborator by fostering public-private partnerships with groups such as faith-based organizations. The Interfaith Day of Service is an opportunity for posts to expand their contact bases, initiate long-term partnerships with civil society, and spread goodwill in observing September 11, 2001. Some programming ideas and suggestions are listed in paragraph six, however posts are encouraged to be creative based on the needs, religions/sects, and opportunities in their country.

6. Programming Ideas
- Meet with interfaith leaders or an interfaith organization before the Interfaith Day of Service to identify a local development issue. For example, Interfaith Youth Core and Tony Blair's Faith Foundation collaboratively identified malaria as a problem in Africa and supported a service project for youth to raise funds and show the film "The Story of a Bed Net" in their faith communities.

- Form local partnerships:

- Organize a food-drive for the end of Ramadan with religious leaders and citizens in Muslim communities to donate to a local mosque or community, such as this activity in Dubai in 2008:

http://www.facebook.com/groups.php?id=28354#/group.php?gid= 5998096393&ref=search.

- Partner with universities or secondary schools to organize a day of awareness-raising, school clean-up, park rehabilitation, or a donation drive that includes students from different faith traditions.

- Work with the Red Cross/Red Crescent or a local hospital to promote the giving of blood and partner with different religious leaders to involve their congregations.

- Organize a free music workshop for a neighborhood where

STATE 00089406 002 OF 002

musicians from different faiths can share their traditions. This event could be a good way to promote a longer term arts education project, for example. - Set up an interfaith sports competition for youth that includes interfaith teams and incorporates skill-building activities.

- Organize a writing competition at a local school on respect for people of all faiths.

7. Resources
- Communities@State's new Religion and Global Affairs Community can be a resource for posts to submit service ideas. Washington can help connect posts to an interfaith and/or youth organization active in their host countries. Posts can participate in the Community at: http://www.intelink.gov/communities/state/ediplomacy/archiv es/new_community_r.html

- The Global Partnership Initiative (S/GPI) has developed new tools and talking points for the Department's efforts at the nexus of faith and foreign policy. These can be accessed on the intranet at http://gpi.state.gov, on the internet at http://www.state.gov/partnerships/, or by contacting Rob Lalka (lalkart@state.gov).

- The Office of the Special Representative for Muslim Communities (S/SRMC) can be a resource. Contact information: tel. 202-647-7710 or via email SSRMC

- INFOCENTRAL is a repository of information that all posts can use for outreach. A list of Ramadan 2009 outreach materials for Muslim communities can be found at:
https://infocentral.state.gov/info-topics/democracy--human- rights/democracy--human-rights/archive/ramadan - America.gov focuses on the theme of American Giving in several articles:

http://search.state.gov/search?oe=utf8&ie=utf8&q=American+G iving&filter=0&entqr=3&ud=1&sort=date%3AD%3AL%3Ad1&output=x ml_no_dtd&lr=lang_en&client=americagov&proxystylesheet=amer icagov&getfields=*&site=americagov&Submit.x=40&Submit.y=14 - Serve.gov, the United We Serve website, lists service opportunities in the U.S. that could provide ideas for similar activities at posts.

8. Reporting
IIP would appreciate a brief description of any plans for an interfaith service activity sent to your IIP policy officer in advance of the event. Following the event, IIP could potentially use photos and text about the activity on the English or language versions of America.gov and/or a social networking platform. Photos should be e-mailed to state61per@photos.flickr.com. The subject line will become the title of the photo. The body of the e-mail should include:

A description of the photo which will become the caption A photo credit in parentheses at the end of the description A carriage return followed by: tags: #service

If you have any questions about uploading photos, please contact Jason Katz (katzjx@state.gov). Please report your activities on Mission Activity Tracker and to your regional bureaus.

9. This is an exciting opportunity to answer the President's call to interfaith service and the Secretary's commitment to partnerships. We hope posts will find the Interfaith Day of Service a beneficial way to commemorate September 11 abroad and to promote goodwill in their host countries. 10. Minimize considered. CLINTON BT #9406

UPDATE: OT but not
Washington, D.C. - On September 25th there will be a national prayer gathering of Muslims on the west front of the U.S. Capitol Building. They are expecting at least 50,000 to attend from mosques all across America. They will gather to pray from 4:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The gathering will take place by the site where U.S. Presidents have been inaugurated since 1981. The organizers say that it was Obama's inauguration speech in January and his speech broadcast from Egypt in June that gave them the idea for this prayer gathering on Capitol Hill.

Police Call: Report to Take Your Flu Shot

Jane Bürgermeister lives in Vienna and, while working as a medical editor, was horrified to learn in early 2009 of the fiasco in which a Baxter International research facility in Orth-Donau, Austria, sent a quantity of human H3N2 viral material to 18 European laboratories.

Such a supply of experimental material would have been totally normal--except that in this instance the H3N2 had been somehow contaminated with live H5N1... the far more lethal Avian Flu.

As a medical editor, Jane immediately realized the import of what had happened - and what had nearly happened - and raised the alarm. But no-one in the Austrian media was interested. She then took matters into her own hands and filed legal charges against those who she considered the perpetrators to be.

Not long after Jane was dismissed from her job without explanation. Undeterred, she sought support on the internet and continued her campaign.

Health Care Rationing is Coming

The stage is being set by the majority in Congress realizing of course that the people do not want rationing. The Democrats will argue that Senate leaders have been forced to use a partisan budget tool known as reconciliation to pass a health bill through the Senate by a simple majority, instead of 60 votes. The Republicans can not realistically agree allowing the Democrats they their hand has been forced. The one people forced in this nonsense is the ordinary, average, hard-working American who has to put up with this nonsense from the gangs in Washington. Perhaps people can keep demanding their representatives are accountable to them. If not, we should be ensure the incumbents are out at the next available time during elections. I say all incumbents in now should be out.

Obama Promoting Islam on 9/11

On the anniversary of 9/11, Dalia Mogahed, executive director of Gallup Muslim Studies and a member of Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, says “The Domestic Crusaders” allows the audience to see a more humanized face of Muslims. The "Crusaders" is a play debuting in New York City today. The Obama regime and its representatives can not be clearer that there is no respect for the innocent Americans who were killed on 9/11. The regime wants Americans to consider how human the Islamists are. Is this statement intended to provoke a response? Is this a statement seeking to stir up emotions? This is incredibly insensitive and extraordinarily disrespectful to the families of Americans killed eight years ago. Would it be too much for Obama to promote America? Is it too much to ask him to support the memory of the Americans who died? His alleged sympathy for the Americans at a service today was overshadowed by the security incident on the Potomac. Obama is clear; his mission is to promote Islam.

In Obama's Cairo speech he stated:

"I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

Another Military Incident Similar to the Flyover Fiasco

The flyover fiasco was bizarre to say the least, and today, just happens to be the anniversary of 9/11, Obama just happens to be crossing a bridge nearby,

a training exercise just happens to occur at the same time, no one happens to mention to related agencies that a military training exercise is taking place? Either this is yet another staged event, such as the flyover, or this is an exercise to get Americans accustomed to a greater military presence, or, Washington, D.C. is filled with complete morons. Who is running the show here? On 9/11 one of the worst problems was the lack of coordination between related official agencies, and yet today, the same problem occurred. Official Washington, at best, is completely incompetent and unable to protect anyone. The several agencies do not even inform each accurately about their respective activities. In the meantime, Americans have to wait for the official word from government agencies who do not know what is happening any way. I can think of few scenarios that would be as bad for the ordinary, average citizen who would like to be informed. We need to know if this is an actual threat or a drill. The government seems more likely to be just making things up as they go along. This could be a tactic to keep people in the dark and unable to make sound decisions based on accurate information. It is the perfect opportunity for the Federal government to take advantage of people. The media does a abysmal job of reporting and finding out factual information. The free press is supposed to be able to discern fact from fiction but they can not be relied on as well.

The time line:
CNN reported that the Coast Guard has fired on a boat on the Potomac River.

10:10 a.m. ET: The report of some activity on the river comes only minutes after Obama concluded 9/11 memorial ceremonies at the Pentagon not far away.

10:12 a.m. ET: CNN says the Coast Guard fired 10 rounds at the boat.

10:14 a.m. ET: CNN broadcasts what it says is audio of the Coast Guard apparently speaking to a suspicious boat. The Coast Guard speaker is heard saying; "Slow down or you will be fired on."

10:27 a.m. ET: The AP quotes the Coast Guard as saying training was being conducted in Potomac River moments before Obama motorcade crossed.

10:32 a.m. ET: Fox News quotes Coast Guard Chief Keith Moore as saying no shots were fired as part of the exercise.

10:33 a.m. ET: Reuters quotes an FBI spokeswoman as saying the agency was told by the Coast Guard that no shots were fired at a boat in the Potomac.

10:41 a.m. ET: NBC's Pete Williams, quoting a "senior Coast Guard official," says the incident was just an exercise to "challenge response times." Or, perhaps to test a military response crosses my mind.

10:53 a.m. ET: USA TODAY's Kevin Johnson reports that the Coast Guard is preparing a statement for release in a few moments.

12:01 p.m. ET: Note the time; I believe this is key. The statement stretches out from a "few moments" to more than a hour later. I wonder what was really going on here.

Here is a statement on the incident from the Coast Guard:

The U.S. Coast Guard reported on Friday that reports in the media were based on overheard radio calls made over a training frequency and that no shots were fired during the exercise. The exercise was planned in advance and was being conducted on a marine radio frequency reserved for Coast Guard training and operations. No recreational boaters were involved in this training exercise. We are still gathering information of how this training event might have been misconstrued as an actual incident. We will conduct a thorough review of this incident.

Reports were based on, and once I heard them, what sounded like actual reporting of shots fired by the Guard. Then, the Guard states no shots were fired. No one had said anything about recreational boats yet the Guard statement includes this idea. Why? We do not know. If this was a planned exercise do they notify anyone? Does each agency operate separately? Isn't there any coordination?

The statement continues:

Coast Guard boats were operating in the vicinity of 14th Street and Memorial Bridges this morning. Whether or not these were the same boats using the marine radio frequency used for training purposes has not yet been confirmed.

The Guard does not know where their own boats are?

The best way that we in the Coast Guard can remember Sept. 11 and our security obligations to the nation is to be always ready and this requires constant training and exercise. To ensure the appropriate readiness posture we conduct training scenarios across the nation on a daily basis.

How and when this exercised was conducted will be reviewed.

The statement ends with a rhetorical flourish seeking to re-assure people we know what we are doing; and, of course it also connects their exercise with 9/11 as a ploy for sympathy for their actions.

12:07 p.m. ET: Vice Adm. John Currier, Coast Guard chief of staff, tells reporters that the incident was a "low profile, normal training exercise" that, he says, is done everyday.

Perhaps this is but has anyone in the news media been able to confirm his point? Does this happen everyday? Has anyone in D.C. noted this or not? Where is the media every day?

Currier says the normal procedure is to announce "This is a drill" before and after such exercises, and that while he has not heard the tapes of this particular incident, he has a "high degree of confidence" that normal protocols were followed.

But the spokesperson does not know if normal protocols were followed or not. Shouldn't someone know?

Currier says other agencies were not notified because of the low-profile and routine nature of the event.

This should be obvious to anyone in the media; does this happen daily or not?

Asked why some police units were seen around the Potomac area after the incident, he replied: "What you see here is a loop between what actually happened, press reports, and the uncertainty that was generated by that because of the high profile of the press reports. Other agencies due to that uncertainty reacted as they normally would, they dispatched units."

Who dispatched them? Why? How would the police know what CNN, on TV, was reporting? If something is uncertain no one is dispatched. Is someone checking the police response time?

He also confirmed that the FAA briefly grounded flights out of nearby Reagan National Airport as a response to the media coverage.

Who ordered this? Is the confusion because there is some one who wants to have people question the reporting?

"Radio intercepts generated intense media coverage, and, justifiably so, but what you saw is this spiral up," Currier say. He says one area they will examine is "press engagement" and that they may ask the media for input.

Yes, and this is a terrific way to control the media. Next time they may not report anything because they have been told not to report anything.

12:39 p.m. ET: CNN's Jeanne Meserve, who covered the breaking story, says CNN contacted the Guard Guard before airing their first report to ask what was happening, based on the radio intercepts and activity in the river. She said, "They couldn't tell us. They didn't know what was happening."

So who do you believe? CNN or the Guard? They can not both be correct.

CNN also broadcast excerpts of the audio of what turned out to be an exercise in which one person is heard shouting "slow down ... or you will be fired on." She also says that in other excerpts a person is saying "10 shots have been extended, we are going to assess the situation." Meserve says there was no indication that this was a drill."

From what I could hear the tapes sound authentic as if it had actually happened.

No one will make the connection publicly but in general outline this is similar to the Mumbai scenario which was a sophisticated attack launched by boat. If this exercise was legitimate training for such a possibility it would be reasonable but there are too many loose ends. Even the simplest and easiest to answer, whether this training routine is a daily exercise no one seems able to answer. No one can tell us?

Oddly enough, the organizers of tomorrow's TEA rally that will largely to protest Obama and the gang in Washington, received a bomb threat. The FreedomWorks staffer who spoke with ABC News said that the organization has received multiple threats but that for "some reason, the DC Metro police thought that this one was credible enough to evacuate the building." I did not realize that the police fielded calls and determined, unknown to anyone, which bomb threats are credible and which ones are not. Imagine the egg on their face if an organization received a bomb threat that proved to be real and the building was not evacuated. This was one a real threat though. The stories and spins get to be so outlandish that they are more bizarre and strange all the time.

Verification is the Issue: Obama Lied

There is nothing in the health care rationing bill that requires verification of a citizen's status, thus, illegal immigrants will receive health care that American citizens pay for. Obama lied. Two amendments were proposed so that health care recipients had to produce verification of status: Democrats struck both of them from the bill.

Taitz Has Gotten Further than Anyone, So Far

Attorney Dr. Orly Taitz’ Barnett v. Obama case has gone further than any similar Court case, so far.

U.S. District Judge David O. Carter has ordered a scheduling conference between the parties to the case to occur on 5 October 2009 with tentative trial dates following up thereafter, assuming that the Court finds reason to go so far.

Calling Out: Rep. Wilson and the Obaaamaaas

You know for the usually staid English calling out in Parliament is not only typical but it is a part of the hurly-burly actual debating style of the council. Representatives hoot, jeer, call out, and boo their opponents. The minor incident of calling out in our august chamber has a precedent: English democratic practice. It really shouldn't be that big a deal, or we could simply advocate change.

The irony in the incident, and dismissal, is that Rep. Wilson is correct. Obama was lying. Wilson was telling the truth. H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on non-citizens. The CRS (Congressional Research Office) reports do not get released to the public. CRS offers private analysis to members of Congress on request, but rarely do they see the light of day. However, David Freddoso got his hands on a copy of the 11-page analysis, “Treatment of Non-Citizens in HR3200″ late last night, and confirmed its reading:

In its subsection on health insurance subsidies (known as “affordability credits”), HR 3200 does state, “Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.” That would seem to solve the problem, but it’s more rhetoric than reality. The bill contains no verification requirement or enforcement process for citizenship or legal residency, as exists for other federal benefit programs. The only verification required for the subsidies pertains to family income. Beyond that, as the CRS report notes, everything is left in the hands of the Health Choices Commissioner.

House Democrats defeated all attempts in committee to add an enforcement mechanism that would require proof of citizenship or legal residency for those getting subsidies.

In short, illegal immigrants will get health care; Obama lied.

Obama's Capitol Hill Card: Who is in Your Wallet?

Van Advertisement

The Contrast Between Two Speeches to School Kids

The controversy over Obama’s speech to the nation’s schoolchildren is in stark contrast to the time when President George H.W. Bush delivered a similar speech on 1 October 1991. Democrats, then the majority party in Congress, not only denounced Bush’s speech — they also ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate its production and later summoned top Bush administration officials to Capitol Hill for an extensive hearing on the issue.

The day after Bush spoke, the Washington Post published a front-page story suggesting the speech was carefully staged for the president’s political benefit. “The White House turned a Northwest Washington junior high classroom into a television studio and its students into props,” the Post reported.

With the Post article in hand, Democrats pounced. “The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students,” said Richard Gephardt, then the House Majority Leader. “And the president should be doing more about education than saying, ‘Lights, camera, action.’”

Democrats did not stop with words. Rep. William Ford, then chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate the cost and legality of Bush’s appearance. On October 17, 1991, Ford summoned then-Education Secretary Lamar Alexander and other top Bush administration officials to testify at a hearing devoted to the speech. “The hearing this morning is to really examine the expenditure of $26,750 of the Department of Education funds to produce and televise an appearance by President Bush at Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington, DC,” Ford began. “As the chairman of the committee charged with the authorization and implementation of education programs, I am very much interested in the justification, rationale for giving the White House scarce education funds to produce a media event.”

Unfortunately for Ford, the General Accounting Office concluded that the Bush administration had not acted improperly. “The speech itself and the use of the department’s funds to support it, including the cost of the production contract, appear to be legal,” the GAO wrote in a letter to Chairman Ford. “The speech also does not appear to have violated the restrictions on the use of appropriations for publicity and propaganda.”

That didn’t stop Democratic allies from taking their own shots at Bush. The National Education Association denounced the speech, saying it “cannot endorse a president who spends $26,000 of taxpayers’ money on a staged media event."

Today, there are no newspapers decrying the act, no call for an investigation, and, goodness, no one is asking how much it cost.

Of course presidents should stay out of the classroom. However, I would go so far as to entertain the notion of abolishing the Department of Education, it does so little good, much less bring up that pesky notion of cost in a failing economy. The present regime is not transparent at all.

Government Case vs. Orly Taitz is Weak

Government attorneys, your tax dollars, are being used to defend Soetoro Obama's case against Orly Taitz and her plaintiffs. I am not able to predict the outcome, since the case is so heavily politicized, but the government's case seems weak. Their first defense is that after the election any objections are moot because they should have been dealt with already under the Constitution, by the presidential Electors, and is up to the Legislative branch. None of this makes any common sense whatsoever. It assumes everyone responsibly performed their duties. The lawsuit filed seeks a redress of a wrong. The government has no case. Lieutenant Jason Freese and some other plaintiffs in the case claim they have a real injury because they are serving in the military and the commander-in-chief does not qualify as president under the Constitution. I would think that injury or death following orders of an unqualified commander would constitute genuine injury but this is post-Obama America after all and common sense does not predominate. Alan Keyes is a three-time presidential candidate who ran most recently in 2008 and Gail Lightfoot, was a vice presidential candidate in 2008. The government's bases their position on the opportunity to win. The argument is that is that they could not win so they are not injured. They may lose on popularity but I do not believe that weakens their legal argument one iota. The less popular candidates qualified under the Constitution which constitutes genuine injury by an unexamined, though popular, candidate. What I find quite interesting is the government’s position is that any person lacks standing to challenge a potential usurper to the POTUS under Article II, Section 1 Clause 5 even though he is not legitimate under the Constitution. If an election took place by fraud the Court should entertain an interest. Winning by fraud does not make it legitimate.

The case will be heard tomorrow in Santa Ana, California.

Obama Repeating Mistakes of Great Depression

A new study endorsed by Nobel laureate James Buchanan provides an alarming view of Obama's failed policies. Charles K. Rowley, Duncan Black Professor of Economics at George Mason University, and general director of The Locke Institute has concluded that "it is not impossible that the US will experience the kind of economic collapse from first- to third-world status experienced by Argentina under the national socialist governance of Juan Peron." In an important new monograph, Rowley and co-author Nathanael Smith, also from the Locke Institute, warn that Obama is making the same mistakes that led to the Great Depression.

What's Wrong With Obama Chatting Up the Kids? Plenty!

Obama is bypassing parents who may challenge his statements.

Obama should not use children as his personal pawns and he should abide by the rule of law.

According to Mathew D. Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel as well as dean of Liberty University School of Law, the address may be illegal. The Department of Education is governed by statute: 20 U.S.C. § 3403 states,

"No provision of a program administered by the Secretary or by any other officer of the Department shall be construed to authorize the Secretary or any such officer to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system."

Staver's concerns were echoed by the Texas Justice Foundation who warned that the "classroom activities" suggested by Obama's speech were illegal.

According to a statement by the Foundation:

"The questions, comments, evaluations and analysis that occurs before, during, and after the president's speech will clearly 'reveal information concerning political affiliations' and probably, 'critical appraisals of other individuals with whom the child(ren) has/have close family relationships' (such as parents)."

"This is perhaps one of the greatest invasions of personal privacy and injecting political affiliation into the public school system in the history of the United States," the Foundation statement added.

The group cited the Pupil Rights Amendment:

"It also violates 34 Code of Federal Regulations Section 98.4[c] [1] and [2] that defines psychological testing as:

(1) Psychiatric or psychological examination or test means a method of obtaining information, including a group activity, that is not directly related to academic instruction and that is designed to elicit information about attitudes, habits, traits, opinions, beliefs or feelings;

(2) Psychiatric or psychological treatment means an activity involving the planned, systematic use of methods or techniques that are not directly related to academic instruction and that is designed to affect behavioral, emotional, or attitudinal characteristics of an individual or group.

Foundation officials said the group activities suggested by the Department of Education "are not directly related to academic instruction and that are designed to elicit information about attitudes, habits, traits, opinions, beliefs, or feelings."

Obama's political agenda violates the constitutional right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children, federal law, and is perhaps the greatest intrusion of a president into the education process in the history of the United States. "In the opinion of the Texas Justice Foundation lawyers, it is both morally and legally wrong."

"Federal law expressly forbids the Secretary of Education or any officer from exercising 'any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system,'" the Foundation analysis stated.

The law states:

20 U.S.C. § 3403. (Pub.L. 96-88, Title I, § 103, Oct. 17, 1979, 93 Stat. 670) United States Code Title 20. Education Chapter 48. Department of Education Subchapter I. General Provisions § 3403. Relationship with States (a) Rights of local governments and educational institutions

It is the intention of the Congress in the establishment of the Department to protect the rights of State and local governments and public and private educational institutions in the areas of educational policies and administration of programs and to strengthen and improve the control of such governments and institutions over their own educational programs and policies. The establishment of the Department of Education shall not increase the authority of the Federal Government over education or diminish the responsibility for education which is reserved to the States and the local school systems and other instrumentalities of the States. (b) Curriculum, administration, and personnel; library resources

No provision of a program administered by the Secretary or by any other officer of the Department shall be construed to authorize the Secretary or any such officer to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, over any accrediting agency or association, or over the selection or content of library resources, textbooks, or other instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, except to the extent authorized by law.

The lesson plans are seriously flawed, although the Department has back peddeled and revised items.

However, students as young as kindergarten will, nonetheless, be asked: "Why is it important that we listen to the president?" and then, initially, were to be asked to write about "what they can do to help the president." Their writings would later be used to make students accountable to their goals.

As WND reported, worksheets provided by the U.S. Department of Education encouraged teachers to ask pre-K through 6th-grade students the following questions:

* What is the president trying to tell me to do?

* What is the president asking me to do?

* What new ideas and actions is the president challenging me to think about?

Students may be asked to write down "key ideas or phrases that are important or personally meaningful, make posters of their goals, create a "supportive community" by sharing those goals with one another.

Junior-high and high-school students may be asked to brainstorm answers to the following questions before the speech:

* Why does President Obama want to speak with us today?

* How will he inspire us?

* How will he challenge us?

* What might he say?

The children are encouraged to talk about how Obama has inspired them or challenged them to do something.

The cult of personality promoted by Obama in the class has elicited a backlash. In addition to boycotts, or parents opting their children out of the propaganda, some students will wear black arm bands which was the same type of student protest of the Vietnam War that was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Pastor Broden Tells It Like It Is

Pastor Stephen Broden tells it like it is; if you are not in a faith community the Pastor explains why you might want to think about attending. Our country is in peril.

"...the problem with us as Americans: we have been relying and trusting our legislators to do what only we can do. We must insist that they represent our interests. We must insist that they stand on the Constitution and if they don't, get rid of them."

"...it's time for us to stand up and if we don't we deserve to lose our liberties. The time for action is now; right now."

"...where are the young people? ...they've got to be educated and they've got to recognize what the framers have given us and that they are facing the most ominous and dangerous situation that our country has ever faced."

"These people.... [who are abrogating our Constitution]... are our enemies and we must resist them."

"We have a constitutional remedy here and the framer says [in the Declaration of Independence] 'if that don't work -- revolution.'"

"I believe it's time to wake up.... We must fight. Not only must we fight, listen to me, we must win."

Pastor Broden was one of the black ministers arrested when he was praying once Obama snubbed the traditional Judeo-Christian "Day of Prayer" in May.

Obama Denies God and Country Fly-over, 1st in 42 Years

There is no promotion of Islamic issues therefore I see no reason why Obama would promote a traditional American tradition. Obama has stated publicly that the Muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound he has ever heard. And, bear in mind that in his Cairo speech he stated clearly he views his role as president to defend Islam. Obama stated: "I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

Clips of Jones' racism and communist sympathies apparently do no resonate with the American people. Obama is experiencing the flack from a people aware, awakened, and highly motivated.

What is Wrong With Obama Chatting With Students?

There are at least three major problems with Obama's scheme to manipulate America's education through our children:

1. the usurpation of state and local jurisdictions, by the federal government, animating this scheme;
2. the manipulative nature of teacher-student behavior, to be carried out before and after the speech;
3. and, the content of Obama's speech.

Military Trained to Quell American Protest

As Blog Smith has reported for some time, the unprecedented move to use American military troops as police and to quell legitimate protest protected by the Bill of Rights has proliferated. In a recent exercise, soldiers at Fort Lee Virginia conducted what is described as an anti-terrorism drill. The drill would not be alarming and stopping terrorists should not be controversial. However, as seen in the exercise itself, protesters carrying signs are depicted. Am I stating the obvious here? Terrorists do not carry signs depicting their right to petition the government for a redress of their grievances: natural-born citizens and American citizens do. The military is training to quell legitimate, American protests against the regime. This is wrong and is unconstitutional. For example, one of the signs read "“racist free zone.” Racism also tends not to be a terrorist priority. This is not a anti-terrorist drill; this is a drill directed against American citizens.

Fort Lee Chief of Police Joe Metzger stated that in times of emergency the military and the police must work together. “We forget one’s wearing blue, one’s wearing a uniform. We all come together for the same cause.”

Apparently that cause involves the prevention of people exercising their First Amendment rights.

In June the Department of Defense anti-terrorism training course material states that the exercise of First Amendment rights in the US constitutes terrorist activity.

The ACLU wrote a letter of protest to the DoD regarding its Antiterrorism and Force Protection Annual Refresher Training Course, which advises personnel that political protest amounts to “low-level terrorism”. All DoD personnel are required to complete the course on a yearly basis.

Teen Unemployment Highest Since 1948

Teen unemployment is at the highest rate it has been since 1948. America formerly was a country known for its youth and opportunity with a freshness and brashness not characteristic of other countries but Obama is causing the sheen to come off America. If the job prospects are not good for most people, since unemployment is at a 26 year high, the unemployment rate is even gloomier for teenagers. This is not the best time to be young in America.

Why Does Obama Want Direct Access to Your Children?

I know how Barry Obama's spin went in regard to propagandizing the kids on the 8th but I wonder if his earlier legislative efforts are the real reason. The local school boards were not contacted, a serious breach of protocol, and by deliberately cutting the local school boards, and the superintendents out of the loop by contacting principals directly, Obama is essentially bypassing the voters, including parents. He is establishing a precedent for federal control of the children, for making them wards of the federal authority.

On 27 September 2007, then Senator Obama introduced the “Positive Behavior for Effective Schools Act” in the Senate. Obama’s education bill, S.2111, significantly redesigns and amends the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to allow, in part, for “State . . . local educational agencies, and schools to increase implementation of early intervention services particularly school-wide positive behavior supports.”

According to Section 3, “the term `positive behavior support’ means a systematic approach to embed proven practices for early intervening services, including a range of systemic and individualized strategies to reinforce desired behaviors and eliminate reinforcement for problem behaviors, in order to achieve important social outcomes."

Section 5 called: “Teacher and Principal Preparation to Improve School Climate,” mandates a new requirement for teachers and principals. It is described as “an understanding of social or emotional, or both, learning in children . . . such as positive behavior support.” Obama’s bill also provides for “instructional leadership skills to help teachers” satisfy this requirement.

In Section 8 Obama’s bill creates what’s called the “Office of Specialized Instructional Support Services” which shall “administer, coordinate, implement, and ensure adequate evaluation of the effectiveness of programs” via a new “Director” who provides “continuous training and professional development opportunities for specialized instructional support personnel” comprised of “school counselors, social workers, psychologists, and others.” These “instructional support personnel” provide “assessment, diagnosis, counseling, educational, therapeutic, and other necessary corrective or supportive services” for students.

Obama’s bill intends to extract–without restrictions from Title I funds. The bill “re-designates” funds to allow State educational agencies to “allocate funds to develop and implement coordinated, early intervening services (including school-wide positive behavior supports) for all students, including those who have not been identified as needing special education (emphasis CFP) but who need additional academic and behavioral support to succeed.”

Obama’s bill did not specify the “systematic approach” he plans to “embed” in America’s students to achieve the “desired behaviors” or “important social outcomes” his legislation mandates. Inquiries to former Senator Obama’s Presidential campaign and now to the White House to define them have thus far gone unanswered.

Perhaps Obama should explain to parents exactly what he means before he addresses America’s unwitting school children this Tuesday. In other times and in other regimes they called this indoctrination. What shall we call it?

Are You a Guinea Pig?

This is quite staggering; the WHO (World Health Organization) released information stating that influenza is purposely released to cause a pandemic and thus speed up the regulatory process:
"When testing these mock-up vaccines, it is very possible to release the novel influenza virus into the population, as its purpose is to “mimic the novelty of a pandemic virus” and “greatly expedite regulatory approval.”

There is reason not to trust the WHO and scare tactics of the pharmaceuticals who profit from these shenanigans.

I Have a Hall Pass

After calling the Department of Education and my local school district in order to object to Barry Soetoro Obama's propaganda address I needed a follow-up exercise. Michelle Malkin

and the National Tea Party Coalition have posted a nifty idea: "Operation `“Hall Pass on That.”'

There are effective ways to counter the White House propaganda. The local school district states: "The study guides and objectives provided [by the Department of Education] in advance of the address contain learning activities that compliment elements of the (insert local school district name) Strategic Plan." I find it curious that the text of the address will not be released until the 7th; yet, the school district finds it complimentary to the Strategic Plan. How do they know that if they do not know what will be said?

The Hall Pass suggests: "Request meeting with the school board, superintendent, and principal to inquire as to why parents were excluded from the decision-making process of this event."

The more objections, the more concerns they field, the more reluctant they will be to simply agree with dictates handed down by the White House.

The suggestions are thoughtful:

alternatives there are for the children of families who wish their students learn about the establishment of the country respective to the Founding Father’s intentions. Discussion can focus on the Constitution, the definition and actions of a republic, and the responsibility of elected leaders to their constituents.

The Tea Party suggestion allows parents and local initiatives to take precedence in their area and allows them to enter the classrooms with sound suggestions and Constitutional learning.

Obama Celebrates Islamic Dinner in White House

Barry Soetoro Obama praised Islam as an integral part of America, stating: "Islam as we know is part of America. . . . On this occasion, we celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and we also celebrate how much Muslims have enriched America and its culture in ways both large and small."

Earlier in the year Obama snubbed Protestants, Jews, and Catholics when he bypassed the traditional Day of Prayer. Likewise, when appearing at Georgetown, the White House asked that Georgetown University, a Roman Catholic institution, cover up any images of Jesus.

There is no separation of mosque and state during the Obama regime; Barry Soetoro Obama celebrates Islamic Ramadan.

Response to Unauthorized Video of Class Activity

Today we became aware of a video that was placed on the internet which has been reported in the media. The video is of a class of students singing a song about President Obama. The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognized each February to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country. Our curriculum studies, honors and recognizes those who serve our country. The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized.

Obama's Radical Leftist Propaganda Shown to Elementary School Children

Parents are upset about Obama's "radical, leftist propaganda" video when a Principal forced kids to watch the "I Pledge" message. The students were subject to propaganda including the statement that people pledged "to sell my obnoxious car and buy a hybrid" and to advance stem cell research. Parents objected to their elementary school aged children who were exposed, without notice, to offensive pledges that included, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama," "I pledge allegiance to the funk, to the united funk of funkadelica," "to end slavery," and pledges to not use plastic grocery bags and not flush the toilet after urinating.

Napolitano, in her dissembling comments about the swine flu, had stated in April that there was nothing to worry about and she attributed conservative statements about the swine flu as a contributing factor which added to the paranoia. Today however, she is singing a new tune. The swine flu will see a "big influx" of new infections that are likely. So which Napolitano is to be believed? Either the one who said the conservatives are paranoid or the one, Napolitano, who now is stating the swine flu is a significant problem.

The Muslim parents of a young Christian runaway who fears for her life are devout members of mosque with ties to numerous terrorist leaders, the girl's attorney warned today. She became a Christian four years ago as a result of her interactions with children at school.

Bary ran away from home July 19 because she says her family will murder her in what is known as an "honor killing" for converting to Christianity. In Islamic tradition, an honor killing is the killing of a person believed to have brought dishonor upon his or her family. The United Nations tabulates about 5,000 such "honor killings" annually around the world, and they have been documented even in the United States.

What exactly is a class II device that is implantable?

In Section 2521 of the Bill labeled "National Medical Device Registry", a class II device is defined as:

"a class II device that is implantable, life-supporting, or life-sustaining."

Along with this phrase is best seen in conjunction with "Class II" device usage:

"other postmarket device surveillance activities of the Secretary authorized by this chapter"

Furthermore, under this Section 2521, the following is stated in a new topic category:

Electronic Exchange and Use in Certified Electronic Health Records of Unique Device Identifiers-

"The Secretary of the Health Human Services, acting through the head of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, shall adopt standards, implementation specifications, and certification criteria for the electronic exchange and use in certified electronic health records of a unique device identifier for each device described in paragraph."

With health care rationing, Americans will have a device implanted in their bodies for surveillance and supervision.

Minnesota Flu Fighter Might Post Police Outside

What if an infected H1N1 patient doesn't cooperate? Well, Minnesota's top flu fighter states, "they could post a police car outside his home."

Obama the Great Propagandizer Aims for Children on 8 September

Obama will be directly propagandizing public school children 8 September 2009. There are guidelines issued by the Department of Education on how to teach children to be docile and subservient. There are no critical questions and no one is allowed to challenge or dissent from the standard thinking format.

American Post Office Honors Islam

The USPS will honor Islam again with a stamp. The stamp commemorates the two most important festivals in the Islamic calendar: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. On these days, Muslims wish each other “eid mubarak,” the phrase featured in calligraphy on the stamp, which translates as “blessed festival” or “may your religious holiday be blessed.”

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan with prayers, feasting, exchanging gifts, and visiting family and friends. Signifying “The Feast of Sacrifice,” Eid al-Adha occurs approximately two months and ten days after Eid al-Fitr. Eid al-Adha comes at the end of the hajjae, the annual period of pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca and commemorates Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail. The stamp was developed with the help of Muslim consultants and experts in Islamic studies.

Employing traditional methods and instruments to create the stamp’s design, Arlington, VA-based calligrapher Mohamed Zakariya chose a script known in Arabic as thuluth and in Turkish as sulus. He describes it as “the choice script for a complex composition due to its open proportions and sense of balance.”

Zakariya used homemade black ink, and his pens were crafted from seasoned reeds from the Middle East and from Japanese bamboo from Hawaii. The paper was specially prepared with a coating of starch and three coats of an alum-and-egg-white varnish, then burnished with an agate stone and aged for more than a year. Zakariya’s black-and-white design was then colored by computer. The colors chosen for the stamp — gold script on a blue background — evoke great works of Islamic calligraphy from the past.

America traditionally has had a separation of church and state which does not seem to apply to the mosque thus with Obama we can expect more promotion of Islam during his regime.
