ATF Dispatches 100 Veteran Agents in Hunt for Guns, One House at a Time
In the increasingly militarized border region of Texas, ATF agents are hunting for American guns on the pretext of stopping drug trade violence. If the federal government were serious about stopping crime and drugs they would have started the search 30-40 years ago when it was obvious to everyone living in those regions that the drug and gun trade was spiraling out of control. To do so, however, would have entailed enforcing a coherent and legal immigration policy, a task which neither the Democrats or the Republicans, vying for the Hispanic vote, were willing to do.
