Sheriff's Department Equipped Now with Weapon of War Against Civilians
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is the latest police department to militarize as Americans are transitioned to a less free state. The Sheriff's Department is now equipped with sonic devices which are the same military weapons used against the insurgents in Iraq. The sonic weapon is known as a Long Range Acoustic Device, or LRAD. The device was originally created for the Iraqi War, and it emits high-pitched sound as a form of crowd control. The same weapon of war is now planned against American civilians. Not only that, despite no outbreaks of violence at this summer's Town Hall meetings, the police were already equipped with the war weapon. The LRAD cost the sheriff's department $27,000, and it was paid for with money from a 2007 Homeland Security grant. Americans are funding their own suppression of contrary political views.
