Middle Aged Man Drinks and Smokes Too Much: "excellent health"

Apart from smoking and drinking a middle aged man is told he is in "excellent health." Maybe I am missing something from sound medical advice but I was under the impression that middle aged people should not drink and smoke excessively. This individual, nonetheless, is described as in "excellent health."
