Merkel says German multicultural society has failed

She specifically referred to recent comments by German President Christian Wulff who said that Islam was "part of Germany", like Christianity and Judaism. Her comments come on the heels of her statement that German Muslims must obey law, not sharia. "Now we obviously also have Muslims in Germany. But it's important in regard to Islam that the values represented by Islam must correspond with our constitution," said Merkel.
