Changes to Pennsylvania regulations governing oil and gas drilling could have a huge impact. Since 2008, the natural gas industry has paid over $1.7 billion in taxes to the state. It has provided over $400 million in revenue to communities throughout Pennsylvania through the natural gas impact fee. And, of course, it is supporting good-paying jobs that didn’t exist before Marcellus Shale production began.
