Morons/Marionette/Broadway, Ian Hunter, Stranded In Reality, Bag of Tricks, Vol. 3

This is a most unusual coupling of songs with Morons/Marionette/Broadway together. Morons is an up-tempo rocker featuring piano reminiscent musically of Marionette and lyrically Crash Street Kidds wherein Ian rants against politicians, the upper crusty educated, and the media for treating ordinary people like morons. It was released on the Rant CD. Originally a Mott The Hoople track Marionette was released on The Hoople LP and released only once when coupled with these two other songs. Broadway is a fine ballad and a moody reflection on show business traumas from the Overnight Angels LP. Together as a medley this was recorded at the Nidaros Blues Festival, Kongressal, Trondheim Norway 29th April 2005.
