Libyan Draft Constitution: Sharia is Principal Source of Legislation

In Libya a draft constitutional charter for the transitional state has appeared online. The inescapable clause lies right in Part 1, Article 1: Islam is the Religion of the State, and the principal source of legislation is Islamic Jurisprudence (Sharia). Under this constitution, in other words, Islam is law.

MESSIAH COLLEGE PROFESSOR: ‘OBAMA MAY BE THE MOST EXPLICITLY CHRISTIAN PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY’

We examined whether Washington was a devout Christian or not; we considered whether Lincoln expressed a deep faith in God.

Then Senator Obama's 28 June 2006 speech to the group Call to Renewal.

In comparison to Washington and Lincoln, does Obama appear to be a devout Christian? Does he express a deep faith in the God of the Bible? What does the evidence suggest?

It's a Girl! Documentary Film - Official Trailer, India, China

In India, China and many other parts of the world today, girls are killed, aborted and abandoned simply because they are girls. The United Nations estimates as many as 200 million girls are missing in the world today because of this so-called "gendercide".

This documentary film tells the stories of abandoned and trafficked girls, of women who suffer extreme dowry-related violence, of brave mothers fighting to save their daughters' lives, and of other mothers who would kill for a son. Global experts and grassroots activists put the stories in context and advocate different paths towards change, while collectively lamenting the lack of any truly effective action against this injustice.

MEMRI: Egyptian Presidential Candidate Tawfiq Okasha Predicts that Egyptian Army Will Open Fire on "Its Enemies" – the US, Germany, and Israel – Within Three Months; States That If Not for the Holocaust, the Jews Would Have Annihilated the Germans

MEMRI: Egyptian Presidential Candidate Tawfiq Okasha Predicts that Egyptian Army Will Open Fire on "Its Enemies" – the US, Germany, and Israel – Within Three Months; States That If Not for the Holocaust, the Jews Would Have Annihilated the Germans

http://www.memritv.org/clip_transcript/en/3321.htm

Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian presidential candidate Tawfiq Okasha, owner of Al-Faraeen TV, which aired on Al-Faraeen TV on February 9, 2012:

Tawfiq Okasha: Hitler's principle was that the best race must become master of the world, and must spread worldwide. Hitler established German Nazism on this, in order to rule and own the world. On the other hand, we find that this is precisely the same philosophy as that of the Israelites and the Jews, who say: We are the Semitic people, we are the best people in the world, and we must rule and own the world, because the Semites are the kinds of the Earth and all that is upon it.

[…]

Hitler knew that the Jews upheld the same ideology. They shared the same ideology. Hitler believed that the Germans were the masters of the world, whereas the Jews believe that they are the masters of the world. Thus, a battle ensued – either the Jews would destroy Hitler, so that they would be able to continue pursuing their goal of ruling the world, or else Hitler would annihilate the Jews, and realize his own goal of ruling the world. This led the Jews to play a very important role in World War II, which brought about Hitler's defeat.

What all the intellectuals and all the people believe is that the reason for Hitler's defeat in World War II was that he moved his forces into Russia at a time of heavy snow. The temperature in Russia reached minus 7, 10, or 12 degrees Celsius, and the German soldiers and officers were not used to this climate. On the other hand, Hitler sent his forces to North Africa in June, July, and August, when the weather was very hot, and there too, his soldiers were unable to cope with the weather. People believe that these two fronts were the main reason for Hitler's defeat. That is what historians have written. But no. That is a mistake.

The truth is that a secret battle was conducted between Hitler and the Jews, and Hitler launched this battle with the Holocaust. All the Jews and all the historians say that Hitler burned the Jews in the Holocaust. Nope. Hitler gathered all the Jews that he could, and all the depraved people that he could… In other words, people who were unable to work – people with polio, people with special needs, and the elderly… He rounded them up and burned them. He said that they were non-productive and were a burden on the German economy, and therefore, let them enter the Holocaust.

The Jewish Holocaust was not only for the Jews, but for everybody who was "depraved," in Hitler's view. These included Muslims and Christians – everybody.
[…]

Hitler was defeated in World War II because the Jews conducted a clandestine battle against him, by planting one… Two of Hitler's advisors were working for the Jews. They were the ones who advised Hitler to mobilize his forces to Russia and to North Africa. Hence, the Jews managed to get close to Hitler, by means of his closest advisors.

[…]

See how long the Jews have been conspiring against the world? Since the end of World War II. They struck the Soviet Union, and it collapsed. They entered Eastern Europe through NGO's, under the pretext of promoting democracy, and so on. They divided all the countries. Yugoslavia was divided. In the Balkan countries, wars were waged and massacres carried out, and they conducted revolutions on rivers of blood, while claiming that this was non-violent, peaceful change. Get it? They conducted close to twenty bloody revolutions in order to achieve this goal. Why did Germany join all these NGO's? Because each party has its own interests. Germany is getting ready to rule the world once again.

[…]

I say this to the Jews: Brothers, do not lie to yourselves. You have played around with German demography as best you could, and you have managed to get the Germans to abhor marriage. This was in order to prevent births. But what is happening now in Germany? For the past five years exactly, marriages have sky-rocketed, and so has the birth rate in Germany today.

[…]

America, Israel, and the European Union are planning to destroy three institutions in Egypt with exceptional malice: the Egyptian general intelligence agency, the Egyptian armed forces, and the Egyptian military intelligence.

[…]

As of today, the war effort of the people has begun. This is essential. A war effort! People, we are waging battle against the greatest country in the world, and against the second greatest country in the world. America is the greatest country in the world, and Germany is the second greatest country economically. We are fighting two superpowers. There are eight great industrialized countries in the world, and we are fighting two of them. We are currently at war with two of them – an official, declared war. The movement of the armed forces today means a real war, but worse is still to come.

[…]

Either the country is wide open, with holes like sieve, or else they call us enemies of democracy. What's that supposed to mean? That's what is written in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

[…]

This is a fierce and bitter battle, which began without any shooting, but will end with shooting. I say this here and now. The Egyptian army will open fire on the armies of the enemies. While you are talking to me right now, the battle with tanks, cannons, and airplanes is near.

Interviewers: I said at the beginning of the show that the war that Egypt is undergoing is not a war of shooting, of missiles, and so on. When will Egypt wage such a war?

Tawfiq Okasha: Within three months. Armed war will begin within three months.

WomenNow Islamic Science Rediscovered Introduction

The astrolabe was developed, if not perfected, long before Muhammad was born.

The zero, which is often attributed to Muslims, and what we know today as "Arabic numerals" did not originate in Arabia, but in pre-Islamic India.

Aristotle's work was preserved in Arabic not initially by Muslims at all, but by Christians such as the fifth century priest Probus of Antioch, who introduced Aristotle to the Arabic-speaking world. Another Christian, Huneyn ibn-Ishaq (809-873), translated many works by Aristotle, Galen, Plato and Hippocrates into Syriac. His son then translated them into Arabic. The Syrian Christian Yahya ibn 'Adi (893-974) also translated works of philosophy into Arabic, and wrote one of his own, The Reformation of Morals. His student, another Christian named Abu 'Ali 'Isa ibn Zur'a (943-1008), also translated Aristotle and others from Syriac into Arabic.

The first Arabic-language medical treatise was written by a Christian priest and translated into Arabic by a Jewish doctor in 683.

The first hospital was founded in Baghdad during the Abbasid caliphate -- not by a Muslim, but a Nestorian Christian.

A pioneering medical school was founded at Gundeshapur in Persia -- by Assyrian Christians.

I wonder if an Islamic scientist took flight, not documented or verified by anyone of course, over the hills of Spain 1000 years ago, why did Muslims forget how to do it until the Wright Brothers stumbled on it in 1903?

YouTube Mix for Jackie Mittoo

YouTube mix

Highlights: After the Skatalites split, Mittoo began a solo career, scoring a major hit with his rendition of the Heptones' "Fatty Fatty." The instrumental smash "Ram Jam" followed in 1967, and resulted in a series of instrumental LPs, among them In London, Evening Time, Keep on Dancing, Now, and Macka Fat.

Jackie Mittoo & the Skatalites - El Bang Bang

Keyboard virtuoso Jackie Mittoo was among the true legends of reggae -- a founding member of the Skatalites and an extraordinarily prolific songwriter, he was perhaps most influential as a mentor to countless younger performers, primarily through his work as the musical director at the famed Studio One. Born Donat Roy Mittoo in Browns Town, Jamaica on March 3, 1948, he began playing keyboards at the age of four, and was rarely far from a piano through his teen years, performing professionally in groups including the Vagabonds and the Vikings. He frequently skipped school to play with the house band at nearby Federal Studios, and it was there that he met producer Coxsone Dodd, who recruited Mittoo for recording sessions when the scheduled pianist failed to appear on time. While attending Kingston College, he began jamming with fellow student Augustus Pablo, and they eventually formed a trio -- the Jackie Mitree -- which performed his original compositions.

By 1962, Mittoo was earning attention across the island for his work in the band the Sheiks, one of Jamaica's most sought-after club attractions. Despite rechristening themselves the Cavaliers Orchestra, their popularity continued to soar without missing a beat. When Dodd opened Studio One in Kingston in 1963, he tapped Mittoo to serve as musical director; in the years to follow he played on virtually every disc the studio produced, arranging much of the material and helping develop new songs until they were sufficiently polished to meet standards. By the early months of 1964, he set about forming a new band with Studio One session regulars Tommy McCook, Lloyd Brevette, and Lester Sterling, as well as the Cavaliers' Lloyd Knibb and Johnny Moore. Dubbing themselves the Skatalites, they were to become the quintessential ska band of the period; also featuring the legendary trombonist Don Drummond, the group lasted just 14 months -- from June 1964 to August 1965 -- but their influence on music worldwide remains incalculable.

After the Skatalites split, Mittoo began a solo career, scoring a major hit with his rendition of the Heptones' "Fatty Fatty." The instrumental smash "Ram Jam" followed in 1967, and resulted in a series of instrumental LPs, among them In London, Evening Time, Keep on Dancing, Now, and Macka Fat. At the same time, Mittoo continued his relentless pace at Studio One -- according to the terms of his basic arrangement with Dodd, he received payment upon delivering five new rhythms a week, which over the years resulted in literally thousands of compositions which he both produced and arranged. Among Mittoo's greatest contributions of the mid- to late '60s were "Darker Shade of Black" (the basis for Frankie Paul's "Pass the Tu Sheng Peng"), Freddie McGregor's "Bobby Babylon," Alton Ellis' "I'm Still in Love with You," the Cables' "Feel Like Jumping" and the rocksteady anthem "Baby Why," and Marcia Griffiths' first hit. In 1970, his "Peanie Wallie" was also versioned by the Wailers, becoming the hit "Duppy Conqueror."

Mittoo relocated from Jamaica to Toronto, Ontario in 1968, one of many reggae performers who found a home among the clubs lining the city's Yonge Street area. He returned to Kingston regularly, however, and was closely aligned with Dodd and Studio One throughout the decades to follow. In Toronto, Mittoo also accepted a day job working for the Canadian Talent Library, an organization which worked to ensure that a sufficient amount of Canadian music was broadcast over national radio airwaves. By 1972, he had lived there for four years, and as such, his work became qualified as "Canadian content," so for the CTL he recorded the album Reggae Magic, which launched the hit 'Wish Bone." During the mid-'70, Mittoo also traveled to England to record a series of LPs with Bunny Lee; during the next decade, he worked regularly with Sugar Minott as well. In 1989, Mittoo joined the reunited Skatalites, but health problems soon forced him to bow out; he died of cancer on December 16, 1990. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi

Should Be Burnt: Saudi Flag Raised Over American, in America

COLORADO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL UNDER FIRE AFTER SAUDI FLAG RAISED ABOVE AMERICAN FLAG

A Fort Collins, Colorado, elementary school has ignited anger and frustration after the American flag was lowered and the Saudi Arabian flag was elevated in a room inside the educational facility.

Bauder Elementary School principal, Brian Carpenter, claims that he has no idea how this happened.

In fact, the flag situation, he says, was rectified as soon as he was made aware of it. Carpenter told the The Greeley Gazette.

The Gazette notes:

The display is a violation of Public Law 94-344 of the Federal Flag Law which states “No other flag or pennant should be placed above, or, if on same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America,…No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the United States at any place within the United States or any territory or possession thereof:…”:

Some, of course, would wonder why a Saudi flag was up at Bauder Elementary to begin with. Carpenter explained that the school has international flags posted around the facility. They are intended to recognize the diverse nationalities of both students and parents, alike, he says.

Conflicts Between Shariah Law and American State Courts

Cases evaluates 50 Appellate Court cases from 23 states that involve conflicts between Shariah (Islamic law) and American state law.

These cases are the stories of Muslim American families, mostly Muslim women and children, who were asking American courts to preserve their rights to equal protection and due process. These families came to America for freedom from the discriminatory and cruel laws of Shariah. When our courts then apply Shariah law in the lives of these families, and deny them equal protection, they are betraying the principles on which America was founded.

PBS' NewsHour had a terrific segment exploring the question, Are Chinese Business Partnerships a Good Deal for U.S. Companies? Watch Peter Navarro describe what he calls "weapons of job destruction."
Interviewed on the segment were Peter Navarro, professor of economics at the University of California, Irvine, and author of "Death by China: Confronting the Dragon," and Stephen Orlins, president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.

Peter Navarro's "weapons of job destruction" include:
currency manipulation,
illegal export subsidies,
the theft of our intellectual property.
the use of worker abuses that have 16-hour days, seven days a week, and suicide nets at companies like Foxconn, which make our iPad,
and finally the worst environmental regulations in the world, which are turning that country into a living hell for over a billion people.

NYPD Identify 53 Mosques of Concern, 263 "Hot Spots"

Docs: NYPD eyed 250-plus mosques, student groups

They "identified 53 `mosques of concern' and placed undercover officers and informants there, the documents show."

"Many of those mosques were flagged for allegations of criminal activity, such as alien smuggling, financing Hamas or money laundering. Others were identified for having ties to Salafism, a hardline movement preaching a strict version of Islamic law. Still others were identified for what the documents refer to as `rhetoric.'"

"New York Police identified 263 `hot spots' throughout the city, the documents show. Like the mosques, the examples of hot spots ranged from businesses that sold untaxed cigarettes and where inflammatory rhetoric was overheard to those with less obvious criminal connections."

"Police also kept tabs on seven of the area's Muslim student associations, defined in the documents as `a university-based student group, with an Islamic focus, involved with religious and political activities.' Two were flagged for having Salafi speakers. One was cited for having students who are `politically active and are radicalizing.'"

Partial video transcript:

[RYAN] If we can’t make good on our bonds in the future, who is going to invest in our country? We do not want to have a debt crisis, and so it comes down to confidence in trajectory. Do we have confidence that we are getting our fiscal situation under control, that we are preventing the debt from getting to these catastrophic levels [in your chart]. “You are showing that you have no plan to get this debt under control.” You are saying that we are going to stabilize it, but then it is just going to shoot back up, and so my argument is that is Europe. That is bringing us toward a European debt crisis, because we are showing the world – credit markets, future Seniors who are organizing their lives on the promises that are being made to them today, we don’t have a plan to make good on this…

[GEITHNER] Mr. Chairman…maybe we are not disagreeing in the sense that I made it absolutely clear that what our budget does is get our debtdown to a sustainable path over the budget window…You were right to say we are not coming before you today to say we have a definitive long term problem. What we do know is, we don’t like yours.

Expert Warns Against Singing Islamic Prayer Song, Feb 17, 2012

“The Shahada is the Muslim statement of faith, and the simple way of becoming Muslim is to say the Shahada,” said Steve Hagerman, founder of Turkish World Organization. Hagerman said this may pose a problem for those singing the song because they don’t know what’s to come after.

“When they sing the Shahada, they need to realize that to radical and conservative Muslims, they are then becoming Muslims,” said Hagerman. He went on to say that the public should know what’s to come from stating the Shahada, because it could be a death sentence.

"In strict Islam, if you become a Muslim--say the Shadada--then later you revert to the particular religion you once were,” said Hagerman. “Then strict Muslims are supposed to kill you."

Those of you, who seek Allah’s attention, Come, as you are called byAllah.
There is no better deed than ZIKR, said the Holy Prophet of Allah. And those who do ZIKR of Allah from core of their hearts, becomesuccessful.
And Zikr cuts Nafs (a human being’s desire to do whatever he wants, good or bad but used mostly for the desire to do evil things) soZikr is sword of Allah.

Zikr is peace, Zikr is victory, Zikr is remedy, and Zikr is prayer

Only Allah is eternal and will be there when nothing else will bethere, as everything other than Allah will get destroyed one day.

Apart form Allah subhan ta alah’s greatness,
Take anything other than Allah out of your heart
And leave Light of Muhammad (May peace be upon him)

In every flower, in every spirit, there is light of Allah
In every heart, in every moment, there’s Zikr of Allah

Zikr is better than hatred; Zikr is better than not caring aboutlife hereafter
Zikr of Allah is much better compared to saying bad things aboutfellow human beings

Would Obama Go to War with Iran to Win Reelection? Obviously Yes.

At last count, “US naval forces in the Gulf and the Arabian Sea have over 320 Tomahawk missiles” at the ready. And another carrier group, which is on its way now, will raise the number of Tomahawk missiles to approximately 430.

Military Tools To Be Used on American Citizens

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a non-lethal weapon — once reserved only for the military — as a new tool for local law enforcement and the U.S. Coast Guard.

How do you feel about military tools used on American citizens?

Some injuries have been reported but even more powerful devices than those used by the military can be found online for around $1,000.

SEE THREE STORIES OF FORCED UNION MEMBERSHIP AND POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held a hearing to investigate allegations of “forced unionism” and different ways in which unions use collected dues to contribute to political campaigns.

In order to emphasize what many believe to be a serious and growing problem, the committee will release the personal stories of three union members who claim they have been denied a choice in joining a union.

TERRY BOWMAN: Denied the Right to Choose by Union Leaders

Terry Bowman is an assembly line worker at a Ford Motor Company plant in Rawsonville, Michigan and a member of the United Auto Workers union. Terry spoke out before the House Oversight Committee about union leaders taking his dues to fund partisan politics he opposes.

CLAIRE WAITES: Denied the Right to Choose by Teachers Union Leaders

Claire Waites is a 28 year educator from Daphne, Alabama, who joined the local teachers union to obtain liability insurance. In order to obtain coverage, Claire is forced to remain a union member. Claire reported at a recent Oversight hearing that her union pressured her to contribute to a "children's fund" that was used to fund the special interest union agenda she opposes.

SALLY COOMER: Denied the Right to Choose by SEIU Leaders

Sally Coomer is a homecare worker of her disabled adult daughter in Duvall, Washington. Under current law, she is forced to become a member of the SEIU. As a member, $95 a month is taken for union dues, which go to fund causes she does not support. That $95 could provide an additional 9 to 10 hours of care for her daughter.

Suhail Khan Promotes Muslim Brotherhood at Conservative Event

During a question-and-answer session at CPAC 2012, an audience member confronted Suhail Khan of the ACU and CPAC with some of the inaccuracies in his presentation of Sharia, and recommended that the audience members read the work of AFDI's Robert Spencer. In response, Khan practices Alinskyite tactics of marginalization and demonization of an opponent he refuses to debate -- Spencer.

Khan was clearly caught off-guard by three women at two of his CPAC events: "Conservative Inclusion 101" and "Promoting Religious Freedom in the US & Abroad." Khan's only method of "debate" is to attack with lies, impugning the reputations of Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer and David Horowitz and others.

‘DIRE’ SITUATION: KRAUTHAMMER CALLS OBAMA BUDGET ‘TRULY SCANDALOUS’

Editor’s note: the following is a fact check done by the Associated Press.

WASHINGTON (AP) — When a president introduces a budget, there are always phantoms flitting around the room. President Barack Obama’s spending plan sets loose a number of them.

It counts on phantom savings from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It‘s underpinned by tax increases Republicans won’t let happen and program cuts fellow Democrats in Congress are all but certain to block.

And it assumes rates of growth that the economy will have to become strikingly undead to achieve.

A look at three budget ghosts, sometimes known as gimmicks:

BUDGET: Claims about $850 billion in savings from ending the wars and steers some $230 billion of that to highways.

REALITY: There is no direct peace dividend from ending the wars because the government borrowed to pay for them. The government would have to keep borrowing that amount of money to have it to spend on something else.

Counting the end of wars as a dividend is like a student coming out of college loaded with debt and aching to buy things, says Maya MacGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. “When you finish college, you don’t suddenly have thousands of dollars a year to spend elsewhere – in fact, you have to find a way to pay back your loans.”

MacGuineas says, “Drawing down spending on wars that were already set to wind down and that were deficit-financed in the first place should not be considered savings.”

President George W. Bush kept the cost of the wars out of his budgets, a contentious accounting maneuver that may have papered over the impact on spending projections but deepened the national debt as surely as if the price tag had been shown transparently. Taken together, the Bush and Obama budget tricks seem to suggest war costs nothing but ending it frees a ton of money.

BUDGET: Forecasts healthy growth in years ahead, with GDP growth predicted to reach 4 percent in 2014 and 4.2 percent in 2015.

REALITY: It’s obviously too soon to know, but reputable private forecasts are not nearly as rosy as the administration’s assumptions, and their track record tends to be better. They are generally forecasting a percentage point lower or close to that, a huge difference, and don’t see reaching 4 percent growth in the foreseeable future.

Last year, the administration built its proposed budget on a projection of 2.7 percent growth in 2011; it turned out to be 1.7. The forecast for 2012 was 3.6 percent, which the White House lowered in the new budget to 3 percent. IHS Global Insight, a leading forecaster in Lexington, Mass., projects 2.1 percent.

Such projections are key because the government’s spending and debt plans rest on how much revenue can be expected to come in.

BUDGET: Assumes taxes will go up on the rich, tax breaks will end for the oil and gas industry, and spending will be cut for programs the president is willing to sacrifice.

REALITY: Tax increases are a non-starter before the election, with Republicans standing in the way, so sweeping parts of Obama’s budget plan are little more than a campaign platform laying out what he would try to get done if re-elected.

Some of his proposals are not so tied to the election. They have little or no chance of passing Congress regardless of what happens in November.

For example, he proposes using money from a Justice Department fund for crime victims for other purposes. But Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, quickly signaled he would work to protect the fund, just as he has successfully done in the past.

Obama is the latest in a line of presidents to zero out – provide no money for – programs in order to show budget savings even while knowing Congress will restore the money. Amtrak and the post office are among institutions that have seen such phantoms before.

Hutaree Militia Begin Trial

Hutaree Militia Amendment

Seven members of a Midwest militia accused of plotting to overthrow the government are set to stand trial, where jurors will decide whether federal authorities prevented an attack by homegrown extremists or simply made too much of the boasts by weekend warriors who had pledged to “take our nation back.”

The Hutaree militia are charged with conspiring to commit sedition, or rebellion, as well as weapon crimes. The government says they conspired to try to kill a police officer and plotted further strikes. No one was ever attacked, and the defendants say they're being prosecuted for saying stupid things. One of the defendants made a deal with prosecutors and could be called as a witness to testify against the Hutaree.

The government relied on an undercover agent inside the group and an informant. But the informant comes with warts: He pleaded guilty in state court to firing a gun during a dispute with his wife and also attempted suicide. Another witness who was married to a Hutaree member not charged in the case attempted suicide and told a grand jury she’s prone to panic attacks.

Are these militia members an anti-government threat or are they exercising their 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, including freedom of speech, association, assembly and the right to bear arms?

American Muslims speak out against the enforcement of shari‘ah law in America

American Islamic Leadership Coalition press release

Islamic Coalition announces support for Michigan legislation that will bar state courts from enforcing ‘foreign law’ above U.S. and state constitution.

A coalition of diverse American Muslim leaders has announced support for a proposed bill in the Michigan State Assembly, HB 4679, that is intended to bar Michigan courts from enforcing any foreign law, if doing so violates any rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and/or the state of Michigan’s constitution.

As American Muslims, we believe that the law should treat people of all faiths equally, while protecting Muslims and non-Muslims alike from extremist attempts to use the legal instrument of shari‘ah (also known as Islamic jurisprudence, or fiqh) to incubate, within the West, a highly politicized and dangerous understanding of Islam that is generally known as “Islamism,” or “radical Islam.”

About the American Islamic Leadership Coalition (AILC)

The American Islamic Leadership Coalition (AILC) is a diverse coalition of liberty-minded, North American Muslim leaders and organizations. AILC’s mission advocates for defending the US Constitution, upholding religious pluralism, protecting American security and cherishing genuine diversity in the faith and practice of Islam. AILC provides a stark alternative to the Islamist organizations that claim to speak for what are diverse American Muslim communities. And remember, over 40 years ago, Pope Paul VI, in Humanae Vitae, warned of four results if the widespread use of contraceptives was accepted:

  • General lowering of moral standards.
  • A rise in infidelity, and illegitimacy.
  • The reduction of women to objects used to satisfy men.
  • Government coercion in reproductive matters.

Special thank to Queen of all Saints Basilica and Monsignor John Pollard for allowing us to film in the church.

Lyrics:
What if I told you that Jesus loves religion
And that by his coming as man he brought his religion to fruition
See this had to be addressed, the use of illogical terms and definitions
You clearly have a heart for Jesus but its fueling atheistic opinions
See what makes his religion great is not errors of wars and inquisitions
It's that broken men and women to participate in his mission
Clearly Jesus says I have not come to abolish
I came to fulfill the law and I came to fulfill the prophets (Matthew 5:17)
And lines about building big churches and tending to the poor
Sounds a bit like Judas when the perfume was being poured (John 12:5)
See His religion is the largest worldwide source of relief
For the poor, the hungry, the sick and repentant thief
Oceans of compassion, opening wide the doors
For single mothers, widows and orphans, married and divorced (James 1:27)
We all detest hypocrisy, and empty show is just the worst
But blaming religion for contradiction
Is like staring at death, and blaming the hearse.
See the teacher will teach when the students are ready to listen
But those that choose to sit in the pews and refuse the good news
Is not the fault of religion.
And If I have the Jersey and I'm playing for the Bulls
There's going to be some boundaries, regulations and some rules.
You can't have Christ without his Church; you can't have the King without his Kingdom
Sins of the Body and internal treason will never ever make me leave him
And that Jesus said it is done, is absolutely true
But he also gave us a mission with many things to DO.
Jesus says if you love me, you will Do what I command. (JN 15:14)
Go and Baptize in the name of the Father, Son & Spirit in Every Land. (MT 28:19)
And on the night he was betrayed he took his men in the Upper Room
Take at eat this is my body take and drink my blood for you.
A New covenant you see, an act connected to the tree,
Do this time and time again in Memory of Me. (Mt 26:26-28)
And at last with crown of thorns beaten beyond comprehension
His eyes were looking for yours and mine; it was divine, no human invention.
So as for religion I love it, I have one because Jesus rose from the dead and won.
I believe When Jesus said IT IS FINISHED, His religion had just begun.

Also, there was the Staple Singers a Soul - Gospel group #1 1972 I'll Take You There #12 1971 Respect Yourself and much more such as Jesus by Queen.

Ocean - Put Your Hand In The Hand (1971) (HQ - Restored)

Ocean is another One-Hit Wonder from the 70's. The song reached #2 on U.S. Charts in April, 1971. This video has been restored and cleaned up as much as I could so you can enjoy it more than the badly distorted VH-1 copy posted elsewhere on YouTube.

Information about the band from Wikipedia:

Ocean was a gospel rock band formed in 1970 in London, Ontario, Canada. They are best known for their million-selling 1971 single "Put Your Hand in the Hand", penned by Gene MacLellan. The gramophone record sold over one million copies and received a gold disc awarded by the Recording Industry Association of America on 3 May 1971.Ocean consisted of Greg Brown (vocals, keyboard), Jeff Jones (bass, vocals), Janice Brown (guitar, vocals), Dave Tamblyn (guitar), and Chuck Slater (drums). The album was recorded in Toronto in 1970 and originally released on the highly collectable Yorkville label in Canada. The album contained eight songs written by such notables as Robbie Robertson and Gene MacLellan. The album was picked up in the U.S. by the Kama Sutra label that also released the band's second album in both the U.S. and Canada. Ocean managed another hit in Canada with the song "I've Got a Dream" written by the British songwriting team of Cook and Greenway, but they failed to make any impact in the U.S. and disbanded in 1975 after only two albums.

Lyrics (C) 1970 Beechwood Music Corp/Kama Sutra
(G. MacLellan)

Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself and-a you can look at others differently
By puttin' your hand in the hand of the man from-a Gallilee.

Ev'ry time I look into the Holy Book I want to tremble (tremble)
When I read about the part where the carpenter cleared the temple (temple)
For the buyers and the sellers were no different fellas
Than what I profess to be
And it causes me shame to know we're not the people we should be.

So put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself and-a you can look at others differently
By putting your hand in the hand of the man from-a Gallilee.

My mama taught me how to pray before I reached the age of seven
She said, "There'll come a time when there'll probably be room in heaven"
But I'm feeling kinda of guilty 'bout the number of times
To do what we must do
Oh we forget what he said when we figured that he'd still make room

(So, you gotta)

Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself and-a you can look at others differently
By puttin' your hand in the hand of the man from Gallilee

(everybody come along)

Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the water (stilled the water)
Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea (calmed the sea)
Take a look at yourself and you can look at others differently
By putting your hand in the hand of the man from Gallilee.
