Joke Falls Flat, Surprising Number of Emmy Voting for Romney
A surprising number of people at the 2012 Emmy Awards gave a loud cheer when host Jimmy Kimmel asked for supporters of Romney.

In March 2008, on a local New York City show called “Inside City Hall,” politico Percy Sutton, told host Dominic Carter how he was asked to help smooth Barack Obama’s admission into Harvard Law School 20 years earlier.
In addition tapes of the anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, Khalid al-Mansour, have also been posted online for some time.
Although these tapes have been available, new information has surfaced. Reporter Frank Miele of Montana’s Daily InterLake newspaper unearthed a 1979-era newspaper column by Vernon Jarrett, father-in-law of Obama confidente Valerie Jarrett, discussing a plan by several influential African-American businessmen with ties to the Arab world to funnel their cash toward promising young African-American students. Among those businessmen was Mansour himself.
Mansour does allow outlets to include his connection to Obama in his biography, as though that connection is settled fact.
For example, there exists a press release from the Jamaican University of Technology touting the connection. Virtually the same language was used to introduce Mansour when he appeared on the National and International Roundtable Podcast.

PG: CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist funding trial in our nation’s history. They were named as Muslim Brotherhood. They’re a Hamas group in America. Hamas is – the first paragraph of their charter calls for the annihilation of Israel. Is CAIR ever gonna support me and support freedom? Of course not. They’re not -- to me, they’re not a legitimate group. To me they’re a subversive group whose stated goal, according to an internal captured document in the Holy Land trial, was to eliminate and destroy Western civilization from within. So that is a compliment. Seriously.
EB: OK, let me ask you about this issue about savages again, because I think that is part of the problem here. At least -- when people look at that ad -- it is a word chosen – will you admit this? – to make people recoil and pay attention.
PG: No.
EB: To poke up. To perk up and say, Look at this.
PG: No, it’s an accurate word. The definition of savage works, because any war on innocent civilians is savagery. Would you call those that beheaded a colleague, Daniel Pearl, savages?
EB: I would call them murderers.
PG: You wouldn’t call them savages? I would. I would call them savages. I would call Nazis, that slaughtered millions and millions of Jews and gypsies and homosexuals, I would call them savages. So I think now it’s not arbitrary: I think when you go to a dictionary and you look up what savage means, and that’s the definition –
EB: Uncivilized and barbarous.
PG: That’s right.
EB: So lemme ask you something else. When people see your name, you are a controversial person, which I know that you say that you’re not, but you are. I’m gonna say that I think that that is the case.
PG: You’re allowed, you’re allowed.
EB: All right. You have done other things as well. Obviously, as I mentioned, you were against the Ground Zero Mosque.
PG: I was against the Ground Zero Mosque.
EB: You have questioned the authenticity of President Barack Obama being born in the United States.
PG: No, that’s not true. That is absolutely not true. I ran a digital forensic examination calling into questions alterations that were made to the Certification of Live Birth. I don’t know what’s on the long form. I don’t know what’s on the vault copy. But I did say – and I didn’t say it, an actual digital forensic examination specialist said, there were alterations made to the original COLB. All I said was, What’s on the original vault copy that he doesn’t want us to know? That was all I said. Now, they change it, and they morph it – listen, I’ve written hundreds of articles. Two books. I update Atlas Shrugs, my blog, every day. You don’t have to guess as to my position. There’s no ambiguity to my position. You can read me.

Saying that let’s look into a digital forensic of an American citizen’s birth certificate is calling into question whether they were born here. Saying whether you are or aren’t a Muslim when you’ve been very passionate about your Christian faith is raising the question of someone, whether someone is or isn’t a Muslim, as if somehow being a Muslim is perceived as being negative.
PG: But you’re accusing me of something I never said. Let’s discuss what I said. I’m happy to discuss everything that I said. The same thing with Barack Obama. I don’t know what’s on the vault copy. Every other president has released the vault except him. It makes you question. Now you’re gonna say, “Pamela, you’re not allowed to question.” This is America. I can question. And frankly, I still think it’s a question. I do, I think it’s a question. And I do think that Obama is Islamophilic – yes, that’s what I said. I didn’t say he was a Muslim. There’s no way to know what’s in the man’s heart. And frankly, by their fruits ye shall know them, so we know him. I don’t know what’s in his heart, and I don’t care.
EB: The Center for American Progress calls you an “Islamophobia grass roots organizer.”
PG: Yeah. And American Center for Progress is an uber left-wing, Soros-funded, subversive organization. I mean, these are not legitimate organizations if you’re a rational, thinking person that loves individual rights, that believes in individual rights over statism, that believes in individual rights over collectivism. I’m sorry, but these are not legitimate organizations.
EB: Who you gonna vote for?

High, persistent unemployment and a sluggish economy underscore what all but the most-dedicated supporters of Barack Obama know to be true: The president's 2009 stimulus program was a massively expensive bust.
Understanding why the stimulus failed is an important step in understanding how the government can—and cannot—goose economic recovery. To get a better sense of how and where the stimulus went wrong, Reason.tv focused on Silver Spring, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C., that's home to a large number of government contractors and other recipients of money earmarked for the sorts of "shovel ready" projects that were going to bring the economy back to life.
President Obama's top economic advisor Larry Summers laid out ground rules for how stimulus dollars should be spent: The funds must be "targeted" at resources idled by the recession, the interventions must be "temporary," and they needed to "timely," or injected quickly into the economy.
None of that turned out to be true. "Even if you were to believe that government spending can trigger economic growth," says Veronique de Rugy, Reason columnist and senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center, "the money is never spent in a way that's consistent with the conditions laid out by the Keynesians for it to be efficient."

On June 8th, 1998 the Brookings Institution invited then-State Senator Barack Obama to speak on a panel it was holding in Chicago. The panel covered the economic revitalization of the inner cities and was moderated by NPR host Ray Suerez.

Papyrus Refers to Jesus' Wife
This Sept. 5, 2012 photo released by Harvard University shows a fourth century fragment of papyrus that divinity professor Karen L. King says is the only existing ancient text that quotes Jesus explicitly referring to having a wife. King, an expert in the history of Christianity, says the text contains a dialogue in which Jesus refers to "my wife," whom he identified as Mary. King says the fragment of Coptic script is a copy of a gospel, probably written in Greek in the second century.Credit: AP
Translated, the text states:

Much work needs to be done; the provenance of the fragment is unknown but what is mostly likely is that it arises from a Gnostic group. If so, it may add nothing to the search for the historical Jesus in that Gnostics commonly postulated ideas consistent with the newly released fragment, but the larger, orthodox Church rejected. In addition, if more context is discovered, the fragment may be referring to a spiritual, or idealized marriage, and in that instance it not meant to be interpreted as a physical, literal marriage at all.
Finally, there are numerous passages that refer to Jesus' spiritual marriage in any case.
The Bible refers to Jesus’ wife, repeatedly. Only that wife is not Mary Magdalene or any other earthly woman. It’s the church.
Christ calls himself a bridegroom throughout the New Testament. When the Pharisees ask Jesus why his disciples don’t fast, he answers:
"How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have him with them. But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.In other words, Christ is the groom and his disciples are his friends—and it would be rude of them to abstain from eating while they’re in the presence of the groom."
Later, as Jesus foretells the coming of God’s kingdom, he also refers to himself as a groom: “The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.” Again, Christ is the groom and his followers are the groom’s friends—there to celebrate the wedding with him.
The study of ancient manuscripts is fascinating but I would not jump to conclusions about this fragment until extensive scholarly research is conducted on the piece.

Sharia Adherence Mosque Survey: Correlations between Sharia Adherence and Violent Dogma in U.S. Mosques
Abstract
A random survey of 100 representative mosques in the U.S. was conducted to measure the correlation between Sharia adherence and dogma calling for violence against non-believers. Of the 100 mosques surveyed, 51% had texts on site rated as severely advocating violence; 30% had texts rated as moderately advocating violence; and 19% had no violent texts at all. Mosques that presented as Sharia adherent were more likely to feature violence-positive texts on site than were their non-Sharia-adherent counterparts. In 84.5% of the mosques, the imam recommended studying violence-positive texts. The leadership at Sharia-adherent mosques was more likely to recommend that a worshipper study violence-positive texts than leadership at non-Sharia-adherent mosques. Fifty-eight percent of the mosques invited guest imams known to promote violent jihad. The leadership of mosques that featured violence-positive literature was more likely to invite guest imams who were known to promote violent jihad than was the leadership of mosques that did not feature violence-positive literature on mosque premises.

NETANYAHU SAYS IRAN ‘20 YARDS’ FROM A NUCLEAR WEAPON
“It’s like Timothy McVeigh walking into a shop in Oklahoma City and saying, `I’d like to tend my garden. I’d like to buy some fertilizer.’ … Come on. We know that they’re working on a weapon,” Netanyahu explained.
“You know, they’re in the last 20 yards, and you can’t let them cross that goal line,” Netanyahu said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “You can’t let them score a touchdown, because that would have unbelievable consequences, grievous consequences for the peace and security of us all, of the world really.”
Netanyahu cited historical examples known to most Americans to make his case: President John F. Kennedy’s demand that the Soviets remove its missiles sites in Cuba “maybe purchased decades of peace,” Netanyahu said. And absent a similar “red line,” then-Iraqi President Saddam Hussein faced a U.S. attack in 1991 after invading Kuwait.
“Maybe that war could have been avoided,” Netanyahu said.
The prime minister also pointed to America’s inability to prevent the 9/11 hijackings as proof that intelligence can fail.
Netanyahu insisted that his motivations are not political, but reflected a key sense of urgency.
“What’s guiding my statements is not the American political calendar but the Iranian nuclear calendar,” he remarked.
“All the things that you see now in these mobs storming the American Embassies is what you will see with a regime that would have atomic bombs,” Netanyahu said on CNN, reiterating: “You can’t [let] such people have atomic bombs.”
The Israeli leader summarized: “I think that there’s a common interest of all Americans, of all political persuasions, to stop Iran…This is a regime that is giving vent to the worst impulses that you see right now in the Middle East.”
Obama as Savior, Grandkid, by John G.
John G. Is 63 years old and owns a small business. He's a life-long Republican and sees his dream of retiring next year has all but evaporated. With the stock market crashing and new taxes coming his way, John assumes now that he will work to his dying day.
John has a granddaughter. Ashley is a recent college grad. She drives a flashy hybrid car, wears all the latest fashions, and loves to go out to nightclubs and restaurants. Ashley campaigned hard for Barack Obama. After the election she made sure her grandfather (and all other Republican family members) received a big I told-you-so earful on how the world is going to be a much better place now that her party is taking over.
Having lost both roommates, Ashley recently ran short of cash and cannot pay the rent (again) on her 3 bedroom townhouse... Like she has done many times in the past, she e-mailed her grandfather asking for some financial help.
Here is his reply:
Sweetheart, I received your request for assistance. Ashley, you know I love you dearly and I'm sympathetic to your financial plight. Unfortunately, times have changed. With the election of President Obama, your grandmother and I have had to set forth a bold new economic plan of our own...."The Ashley Economic Empowerment Plan." Let me explain.
Your grandmother and I are life-long, wage-earning tax payers. We have lived a comfortable life, as you know, but we have never had the fancier things like European vacations, luxury cars, etc... We have worked hard and were looking forward to retiring soon. But the plan has changed. Your president is raising our personal and business taxes significantly. He says it is so he can give our hard earned money to other people... Do you know what this means, Ashley? It means less for us, and we must cut back on many business and personal expenses.
You know the wonderful receptionist who worked in my office for more than 23 years? The one who always gave you candy when you came over to visit? I had to let her go last week. I can't afford to pay her salary and all of the government mandated taxes that go with having employees.... Your grandmother will now work 4 days a week to answer phones, take orders and handle the books. We will be closed on Fridays and will lose even more income.
I'm also very sorry to report that your cousin Frank will no longer be working summers in the warehouse. I called him at school this morning. He already knows about it and he's upset because he will have to give up skydiving and his yearly trip to Greenland to survey the polar bears.
That's just the business side of things. Some personal economic effects of Obama's new taxation policies include none other than you. You know very well that over the years your grandmother and I have given you thousands of dollars in cash, tuition assistance, food, housing, clothing, gifts, etc., etc. But by your vote, you have chosen to help others -- not at your expense -- but at our expense.

You yourself told me how foolish it is to vote Republican... You said Mr. Obama is going to be the People's President, and is going to help every American live a better life. Based on everything you've told me, along with all the promises we heard during the campaign, I'm sure Mr. Obama will be happy to transfer some stimulus money into your bank account. Have him call me for the account number which I memorized years ago.
Perhaps you can now understand what I've been saying all my life: Those who vote for a president should consider the impact on the nation as a whole, and not be just concerned with what they can get for themselves. What Obama supporters don't seem to realize is all of the money he is redistributing to illegal aliens and non-taxpaying Americans (the so-called "less fortunate") comes from tax-paying families.
Remember how you told me, "Only the richest of the rich will be affected"? Well guess what, honey? Because we own a business, your grandmother and I are now considered to be the richest of the rich. On paper, it might look that way, but in the real world, we are far from it..
As you said while campaigning for Obama, some people will have to carry more of the burden so all of America can prosper... You understand what that means, right? It means that raising taxes on productive people results in them having less money; less money for everything, including granddaughters.
I'm sorry, Ashley, but the well has run dry. The free lunches are over... I have no money to give you now. So, congratulations on your choice for "change." For future reference, I encourage you to try and add up the total value of the gifts and cash you have received from us, just since you went off to college, and compare it to what you expect to get from Mr. Obama over the next 4 (or 8) years. Before the show while chatting with the roadie M.C. and Steve pulled up while I was leaving. I wished them a good show and shouted that the last two nights were great. They both said "thanks" and I responded the same.
I ran into Paul Page before the sound check to tell him I am glad that All American Alien Boy was still in the set, it was moved to a later point in the show and I thought perhaps at World Cafe Live it was not to be played: otherwise, I would miss his bass solo which is first-rate. Paul introduced me to his buddy Pat Fitzgerald, the drummer from Martin's Folly, who had driven down with him from NYC.
On 2003's "From Hope," Martin's Folly featured a cameo appearance from Ian Hunter on "I Wish I Was Your Mother."

EGYPTIAN COPTIC CHRISTIAN TESTIFIES BEFORE CONGRESS: ‘I AM A WOMAN AND I’M A COPT. I’M A FOURTH-CLASS CITIZEN’
This week, Egyptian political activist Cynthia Farahat testified before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission in the House of Representatives. Reps. Frank Wolf and James McDermott presented Under Threat: The Worsening Plight of Egypt's Coptic Christians.
Ms. Farahat spoke about her experiences as an activist and co-founder of the Liberal Egyptian Party in 2006, while in her twenties-- the platform of which argued for "secularism, human rights, capitalism, the rule of law, and rejection of pan-Arabism and Islamic imperialism," not to mention the rejection of Shariah.
“I‘m a woman and I’m a Copt. I’m a fourth-class citizen in Egypt.”
That was among the many chilling revelations put forth in a testimony to Congress this week by Egyptian political activist Cynthia Farahat. The Coptic Christian and co-founder of the Liberal Egyptian Party, testified before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission in the House of Representatives, sharing her experience on the worsening plight of Christians under sharia law, and soon-to-be Islamic authoritarian regime in Egypt.
Reps. Frank Wolf and James McDermott presented the hearing, “Under Threat: The Worsening Plight of Egypt’s Coptic Christians.”
According to the Center for Security Policy, the organization that organized the hearings and brought this must-see video to The Blaze’s attention, describes Farahat’s political platform as advocating, ”secularism, human rights, capitalism, the rule of law, and rejection of pan-Arabism and Islamic imperialism.”
Below is a partial transcript of Farahat’s moving testimony before Congress. The video follows:
In 1971, President Sadat introduced shariah law to the constitution and now I think it’s, qualifies to say that Egypt is a constitutional theocracy and it’s not a modern state. The consequences were that Copts are no longer, according to shariah law, identified or defined as citizen. I have an Egyptian passport, but I’m not a citizen. The concept of citizenship is a Western concept that does not apply to us in Egypt. I‘m a woman and I’m a Copt. I’m a fourth-class citizen in Egypt. A first-class citizen in Egypt is the Sunni male, Muslim male. The second-class is the Sunni female. The third-class is the Coptic male. And fourth-class is the Coptic female.
And that’s why none of the people that committed crimes, none of the criminals that committed crimes against Copts were prosecuted in any way. Because it is against shariah law and that’s a fact. It’s not an opinion. To persecute someone for – a Muslim, for killing, raping, torturing, or vandalizing the property of a non-Muslim or a dhimmi. So this is our legal status. And this has been happening under the Mubarak’s so-called moderate regime, an ally of the West, and it’s now happening now. It was only inevitable that they take their radicalism a step further and start killing Copts in the street in front of TV cameras with live ammunition and running them over with armored military vehicles they probably got from the United States of America.

The self-described Israeli Jew told the Associated Press, from an undisclosed location, that Islam is a cancer and that the film was intended to make a political statement, while condemning Islam on the whole. The English-language movie spans two hours and is entitled, “Innocence of Muslims.” Bacile claims that more than 100 Jewish donors helped put up the $5 million to make the film, which has reached no measurable level of success, possible.
The background of the film is even stranger; nothing about this production makes much sense.
