Parent Exercising Free Speech at School Board Arrested

http://m.wcvb.com/news/gilford-parents-question-school-district-on-sexual-content-of-book/25830130 “‘Relax,’ Matt murmured, and then he sank his teeth into her shoulder. He pinned her hands over her head and ground his hips against hers. She could feel his erection, hot against her stomach. ” … She couldn’t remember ever feeling so heavy, as if her heart were beating between her legs. She clawed at Matt’s back to bring him closer. “‘Yeah,’ he groaned, and her pushed her thighs apart. And then suddenly Matt was inside her, pumping so hard that she scooted backward on the carpet, burning the backs of her legs. … (H)e clamped his hand over her mouth and drove harder and harder until Josie felt him come. “Semen, sticky and hot, pooled on the carpet beneath her.” Understandably, Baer doesn’t want his daughter exposed to this kind of material, and says the school “has no business introducing such themes” to his daughter. He’s also disturbed by school officials’ failure to notify parents that this novel was assigned, and there was no opportunity to “opt out.” Baer, who is an attorney, believes that if someone stood outside the school and handed out copies of the novel’s sexually charged passage to students, he would likely be arrested and prosecuted. He questions why it’s acceptable for “the state, through its schools and agents,” to mandate reading and discussing this same material. http://youtu.be/OsbS9JD7Pvw http://youtu.be/1HC2LPu8wHQ

Palestinian Kids: "Shoot the Jews"

http://youtu.be/0ORAM-usqhQ Children were instructed to shoot “all the Jews,” on the weekly Hamas TV children’s program Tomorrow’s Pioneers this week. The young Hamas TV host Rawan talks to a young girl in the studio named Tulin, who tells her she wants to be a police officer when she grows up. The child host directs her to the conclusion that as a police officer she would shoot “all the Jews.” Child host (Rawan): “Tulin, why do you want to be a police officer? Like who?” Girl (Tulin): “Like my uncle.” … Child host: “OK, so what does a policeman do?” Nahul (an adult in a giant bee costume): “He catches thieves, and people who make trouble.” Child host: “And shoots Jews. Right?” Girl: “Yes.” Child host: “You want to be like him?” [Girl nods] Child host: “Allah willing, when you grow up.” Girl: “So that I can shoot Jews.” [Nahul the bee claps his hands] Child host: “All the Jews? All of them?” Girl: “Yes.” Child host: “Good.” [Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas), May 2, 2014] Click to view Earlier in the segment, which taught children about “neighbors’ rights”, Nahul, an adult in a giant bee costume, told children to take stones and “smash” “the Jewish neighbors.” Palestinian Media Watch has documented the hate messages on this Hamas TV children’s program in the past, all presented by sweet puppets. The following is a longer excerpt of the recent broadcast encouraging children to “shoot all the Jews”: Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas) program Tomorrow’s Pioneers on neighbors’ rights. Phone conversation between Nahul the bee and Qais, a boy from Jenin (West Bank). Nahul the bee, (adult in a giant bee costume): “Listen my friend. Are there Jews where you are?” Boy (Qais): “No. Not at the moment.” Nahul: “I heard they come to you every day.” Boy: “Yes, but not now.” Nahul: “Listen, friend; do like this with your hands [makes fists], and when they come to you, punch them; make their face red like a tomato.” Boy: “Allah willing, so that we can liberate Palestine.” Nahul: “Allah willing.” … [Nahul talks to TV Host, young girl named Rawan] Nahul: “My friend Qais – anyway, Rawan, I tell him to take a stone, and when the Jews come, to take it and throw it at them.” Child host (Rawan): “Of course, the Jewish neighbors.” Nahul: “To smash them.” Child host: “If his neighbors are Jews or Zionists? Yes.” … [Child host Rawan talks to Tulin, a girl in the studio.] Child host Rawan: “Tulin, why do you want to be a police officer? Like who?” Girl Tulin: “Like my uncle.” Child host: “Which uncle?” Girl: “Ahmed.” Child host: “Is he a policeman?” [Girl nods] Child host: “OK, so what does a policeman do?” Nahul: “He catches thieves, and people who make trouble.” Child host: “And shoots Jews. Right?” Girl: “Yes.” Child host: “You want to be like him?” [Girl nods] Child host: “Allah willing, when you grow up.” Girl: “So that I can shoot Jews.” [Nahul the bee claps his hands] Child host: “All the Jews? British Man Arrested for Quoting Winston Churchill

Paul Weston, a member of the GB Liberty Party, and current candidate for the South East England constituency of the European Union Parliament, delivered a speech in Winchester, a part of his constituency, in which he quoted from Winston Churchill’s 1899 book, “The River War: An Account of the Reconquest of the Sudan.” In particular, Weston quoted Churchill on the topic of Islam. As a result of his speech (and his refusal to stop speaking), Weston was arrested. “How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities – but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.” http://youtu.be/HQzV_-latew

Obama to Imam at Victory Mosque: 'Pray For Me'

Malaysia’s Star newspaper quoted Abdullah Muhammad Zin, religious advisor to Prime Minister Najib Razak, as saying it was “not common” for the leader of a superpower to include a visit to a mosque in his itinerary. “There can be no better way for Obama to honor Islam than by visiting Masjid Negara,” he said. Bernama quoted several other senior Muslim figures commenting on the visit. “This is out of the ordinary as I cannot recall any non-Muslim world leader visiting the National Mosque and this is a good start for Muslims here,” said Ustaz Wan Akashah Wan Abdul Hamid, a religious scholar.Invited to comment on Obama’s decision to visit a mosque but not a church while in the country, Council of Churches of Malaysia general secretary Hermen Shastri demurred, but said that those responsible for arranging the visit had “ensured that he is made aware of the religious freedom issues in the country.”http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/patrick-goodenough/imam-obama-end-oppression-muslims-obama-imam-pray-me

State Propaganda to Indoctrinate Children about Obama

The 2008 election “should not just be a mere footnote within textbooks, but rather focus on the significance of Americans overcoming our nation’s past and acknowledging that Americans are moving in the right direction.”

Thus, all those minor presidents like Washington and Lincoln should be downplayed, and unimportant things such as the civil rights movement should be superseded by the election of someone who has harmed the upward mobility of minorities.

What I seen is civil disturbance. People are not happy, people are thinking they don't have their freedoms, they didn't have these things, and they didn't have them. We've progressed quite a bit from that day until now, and we sure don't want to go back. We sure don't want the colored people to go back to that point. We sure don't want these Mexican people to go back to that point. And we can make a difference right now by taking care of some of these bureaucracies, and do it in a peaceful way.

Why Not Revisit Harry Reid's Racism?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/09/AR2010010902141.html Wouldn't it have been a good time for the Post to re-visit Harry Reid's racism following his latest conflict with the Nevada rancher who is defending his property? No, that would have come too close to responsible journalism for that to happen. Racism is racism but the Left gets a pass for its bigotry every time. The difference in the ill-spoken comments is that one person is an ordinary citizen and the other represents a state and is a Senator. While both comments are regrettable the rancher is not a public figure and is simply exercising his free speech rights. People who are not elected officials have every right to express themselves publicly and without condemnation. If racism is truly the issue here, and it is not, then Reid's comments should be examined critically and ought to be publicly condemned. The upshot of the contention, the overreaching power of the Federal government, will be drowned out by the sideshow and distraction of the racial comments of the rancher. The Alinsky-ite tactic of demonizing an opponent is effective and works. The Post should be ashamed of its perfidy.

Milton Friedman Equal Pay for Equal Work

“Over and over we have to look at the actual consequences of policies, not the names of them. The immediate occasion that we’re talking about now…”equal pay for equal work,” is a claim for people supposedly for the feminist cause. Now I believe that’s an anti-feminist slogan. It will hurt the feminists. It will not help them. Why? I believe that every individual man, woman, or child should have an opportunity to get a job if he wants to and can do it. But now, if there are some people who are prejudiced — if Mr. Jones is a male chauvinist — and he would prefer to have a man rather than a woman; or a Mr. Smith is a believer in feminine rights, and would prefer to have a woman rather than a man, it doesn’t matter. But take the male chauvinist pig: If you have a law that he must pay the woman and the man the same, and if he can find some way around having to hire the woman, he gets away free. He doesn’t have to pay for his prejudice. On the other hand, suppose he has the prejudice, but we let people compete. Then the woman at least has the weapon of offering to work for less. And he has to pay for his prejudice. The free market, by enabling people to compete openly, is the most effective device that has ever been invented for making people pay for their prejudices, and thus for making it costly for them to exercise it. And what you do when you impose the equal pay for equal work law, is that you make the expression of prejudice costless. And as a result you harm the people you intend to help.” “I do not believe that it is desirable that we move in the direction of having a government bureaucrat decide whether A may hire B or not, whoever A and B are…and in consequence I think programs of this kind are both reducing our freedom and reducing equality. And they will…disadvantage…the very groups [which the policymakers and their supporters] intended to help.” http://youtu.be/bZA1Q_1t1E0 Also of note, Friedman recommends W.H. Hutt’s “The Economics of the Colour Bar,” a book we have discussed before, in which Hutt argues that apartheid in South Africa began with a trade union push for “equal pay” for “equal work” legislation.

Mott The Hoople and Leee Black Childers

Re: Leee Black Childers You pretty much have it right. Leee was our wardrobe man on the '74 US tour and did a lot more behind the scenes, helping Stan, etc. He was always cheerful, professional, and chic. A very likeable, intelligent, kind, charming man. If I'd've been gay, well . . . Morgan Fisher "Probably for audience enthusiasm, I must rank number one in my experience, the Mott the Hoople fans. I went on tour with them a few times in the early 70's and the crowds, worldwide, were always nuts. I put it down to the music. The minute it began, the crowds didn't stop until the very end. I look at the pictures, 1974, I guess, and look at those kids, and wonder why they wanted to reach out, but most of all, I really hope that whatever they were reaching toward, after all these years, lead them to happiness."
