If you have any pull with the American Psychiatric Association, could you please recommend to them that the psychological state formerly known as “paranoia” should be no longer defined as a mental illness? Asylums all across the country are filled with people whose only neurosis is the vague feeling that they are being spied on or followed by unseen powerful enemies. But now we know that everyone is being spied on every time they pick up the phone, buy something, use the Internet, or walk around in public — so it turns out that these “paranoid” patients aren’t delusional after all. It seems rather unfair to lock us them up and classify us them as crazy if our vague feelings of being stalked by the government turned out to be true.

And in conclusion, just in case your algorithm has gotten overloaded, I’d like to not mention my private, personal opinions about the Second Amendment, Fourth Amendment, and Ninth Amendment (and you really don’t want to know what I think about the Sixteenth Amendment). As GSN reports, the items the DHS is looking to acquire include the following;

- 111 Centurion CPX2500 Soft Shell Riot Control System upper body and shoulder protection, which must “effectively protect the torso and shoulders from blunt force trauma.”

- 123 Centurion TPX200 thigh/groin protection systems “designed for blunt trauma protection during riot control situations,” said the solicitation. The gear “protects the thigh area and has an adjustable and removable groin protector.”

- 110 Hatch TS70 Centurion hard shell shin guards, which must provide “substantial protection from flying debris. Non-ballistic weapons, and blows to the leg.”

- 189 MaxPro-Police riot helmets, which have a “high impact molded half shell helmet with integral visor and neck protector.”

The solicitation also includes a request for 116 pairs of tactical gloves and 128 forearm protectors. The contract includes four additional one year option periods. The equipment will be delivered to a Federal Protective Service facility in Alexandria, VA, within 45 days of the award.

The Corbett Administration has delayed submitting Common Core academic standards, which were initially scheduled to be implemented on July 1st. This comes at a time when critics fear the standards would impede upon local control, while proponents say the standards give value to a high school diploma and help to ensure that students are prepared to join the workforce. We’ll be joined by Peg Luksik, of Pennsylvanians Against Common Core, and David Patti, President and CEO of the PA Business Council.

David Patti of the PA Business Council (PBC) accepted $262,391 from the Gates Foundation to promote Common Core.

Dr. Luksik wrote a commentary on the politics behind Governor Corbett’s announced delay of implementation: “Playing Politics” - In May, the Corbett administration announced that they would delay submitting the Chapter 4 regulations implementing the latest version of Common Core…Many of those opposed to Common Core hailed that announcement as a victory. It was not. It was a political maneuver.

But words designed to catch the scanner's interest litter the script, including famous American landmarks such as 'Manhattan,' 'Golden Gate Bridge', 'Brooklyn Bridge',' Verrazano Narrows Bridge' and 'Financial District.'

It also included words associated with terrorists such as 'death to millions of Americans,' 'strike at any second' and 'oppressive regime.'

The director of the movie, James DeMonaco, makes an attack on the NRA, an organization filled with millions of law-abiding gun owners.

People who don’t break the law are somehow evil for exercising the Constitutional rights.

To be sure, DeMonaco did admit that the leadership of the scary 2022 United States was based on the NRA. Here’s what he said:

“I layered in these New Founding Fathers, this regime that we voted into power at some point, some kind of NRA-thing that took over the country…But I kind of left that to the audience. I think sometimes in my writing I try to spoon feed too much, it’s better to let the audience make their own decisions on things.”

The lead actor states that the problems of the world are largely caused by our affluence. I guess that being successful is a bad thing. Now there's a message for young people.

Only 17 carefully selected documents have been publicly released thus Congressional leaders have called for a more complete release. The documents present a far more complicated picture of al Qaeda than the one advanced by Obama. In the months after bin Laden’s death and throughout the 2012 presidential campaign.

According to Congressional sources: among the revelations: bin Laden kept careful tabs on his affiliates and helped plan attacks from the compound in Abbottabad; the strong ties between al Qaeda central (AQC) and Pakistan’s Directorate for Inter-service Intelligence (ISI) were perhaps deeper than many analysts had imagined; senior Iranian officials cultivated the on-again, off-again relationship between AQC and the Iranian regime; al Qaeda central and the Taliban in Afghanistan were far closer than the administration, interested in jump-starting negotiations with the Taliban, let on.

Manning Case: First Amendment Free Speech on Trial

Bradley Manning's case may be an ominous precedent that will restrict freedom of speech and transform the internet into a impaired zone and unlike the unfettered space it is today.

Daniel Ellsberg, who in 1971 was subjected to an aborted trial for leaking the Pentagon Papers on the Vietnam War to the New York Times, said that the Manning prosecution was far tougher than anything that he had endured.

"This is part of Obama's overall policy of criminalising investigative reporting on national security," he said. "If the government has its way, it will become very hard in future to expose official corruption or disclose information in the public interest other than leaks made by the administration itself."

The access to the war logs is the critical component of the government's case in which allegedly Bin Laden himself instructed his followers to download.

But it may not, under the First Amendment, prevent or punish speech even if it may be viewed as hostile to a religion. Judicial Watch for example noted that restricting free speech is unconstitutional.
