In a press briefing Thursday, IDF Intelligence Officer Colonel Miri Eisen screened video imagery of a staged Palestinian funeral photographed by an Israeli drone flying over Jenin on Monday, April 28. Pallbearers repeatedly tried to carry a green blanket wrapped around a man who pretended to be dead, but kept falling out of the blanket. The funeral took place between the area that was destroyed in the Jenin refugee camp and the nearby cemetery.

The Palestinians, Col. Eisen said, sought “to show as many casualties as possible were buried inside Jenin. They tried to falsify evidence in preparation for the committee by executing a fake [funeral] ceremony, carrying the ‘body’ and filming the entire process.”

The film was screened to foreign reporters and later shown on Israeli television, causing considerable amusement among the TV commentators and journalists, since the “corpse” kept tumbling out of the blanket. “One time he falls off the stretcher when he is already in a crowd,” Col. Eisen narrated. “When he came back to life in the middle of the crowd (at approximately 1:35 in the clip), the crowd breaks up because they didn’t know that it wasn’t really a corpse.” Israel Radio reported that many reporters laughed at the point in the tape that the “corpse” seemed to “rise from the dead,” causing the people around him to flee in terror.

1)      Can the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi be disassociated from the larger failure of American policy towards Libya and the region that has involved engaging Islamists, including the Muslim Brotherhood and even individuals and organizations known to be associated with al Qaeda?  For example, hasn’t the U.S. government entered into a relationship with Libya Shield, which fought under the black flag of al Qaeda during the “February 17th revolution.” Libya Shield is led by Wissam bin Hamid, who official sources have identified as a jihadist and veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, and possibly the leader of al Qaeda in Libya. Yet, this man met with U.S. diplomats on September 9, voiced his support for MB candidate running for PM in Libya and threatened to withdraw security from US if the candidate he said the US backed won. Who authorized this meeting and this relationship? The same should be asked about February 17th Martyrs Brigade, from which Ansar al Sharia is said to have spun off.
2)      Were jihad, anti-infidel, pro-shariah factors taken into consideration in formulating U.S. policy on Libya and the so-called Arab Spring more generally? Why not? How would such factors have shaped the policy differently?
3)      Who came up with the idea of blaming an anti-Mohammed video for the attack in Benghazi when it was clear from Day 1 at State and the Tripoli CIA station and by Day 3 at the FBI (after it interviewed survivors) that there was no protest, period?
4)      Who coordinated the dissemination of this false narrative, notably to the President, UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, CIA Director Petraeus and White House spokesman Jay Carney?
5)      Who drafted the President’s September 25th address to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in which he cited the video six times and declared, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam”?
6)      Who called the deflection operation off, and when? Is it coincidental that that seemed to occur after the UNGA speech, which stands as the closing bookend to the video-narrative that the White House and, as others dropped out, Obama alone pressed for two full weeksafter the attack.
7)      Meanwhile, why did the CIA and other intelligence agencies ignore a seemingly more significant video – Ayman al-Zawaheri’s video exhorting Libyans to take revenge for the U.S. killing of Libyan al Qaeda leader Yahya al Libi that was posted online on September 9 and September 10? Spokesmen such as George Little at Pentagon have explicitly stated there was no prior warning about Benghazi. Doesn’t a 9/11 anniversary video from the head of AQ exhorting Libyans to fight Americans count as a warning?
8)      Did President Obama order the U.S. military not to come to the aid of Americans under attack on 11 September 2012?  Mr. Obama told a local Colorado TV reporter that he made his priorities clear “the minute I found out what was happening.” He continued: “Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to.” Did Obama issue such a directive, written or oral? If so, was it carried out? If not, why did the president lie to the reporter?
9)    “White House Counterterrorism Advisor John Brennan reportedly was aware that there was a relationship [between General David Petraeus and Paula Broadwell] as early as the summer of 2011.”  Yet, myriad published reports indicate that only a small number of individuals in the FBI and Department of Justice, including Attorney General Eric Holder, were privy to the investigation into this affair.  Which is it? And, either way, was the President actually kept in the dark until after the election?
10)  The CIA’s Benghazi station was reportedly engaged in a covert operation aimed at helping an international effort to arm the so-called “Syrian opposition” by shipping weapons recovered from “liberated” Qaddafi-era caches.  If, as the New York Times has reported, the bulk of the armaments being sent to the “rebels” in Syria by Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are winding up in the hands of the most radical Islamist elements, some supplied by us are likely reaching al Qaeda operatives, as well.  Has the Obama administration been secretly arming Syria’s opposition, including al Qaeda and/or other radical Islamists?

PETRAEUS MISTRESS SUGGESTS BENGHAZI ATTACK WAS AIMED AT SECRET CIA PRISON

On October 26th, 2012, Paula Broadwell, the now famed mistress of General Petraeus, addressed the University of Denver Alumni Symposium about the recent attacks on Benghazi during a question and answer session after her keynote address:

"The facts that came out today is that the ground forces there at the CIA annex, which is different from the consulate, were requesting reinforcements. They were requesting the – it's called the CINC’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex that were under attack. Now, I don't know if a lot of you have heard this but the CIA annex had actually taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner, and they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try get these prisoners back, so that’s still being vetted."

An extensive KleinOnline search of news media coverage of the Benghazi attacks could find no mention of prisoners being held at the CIA annex.

During the same university speech, Braodwell may have also divulged information that Petraeus knew “within 24 hours” of CIA annex’s request for reinforcements, reported Israel National News.

“The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus,”she stated, “is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening.”

Broadwell is an intelligence officer and Business Insider noted that in Michael D. Shear’s profile of Broadwell for The New York Times, he said she was “a model for a machine gun manufacturer.”

“It turns out that the company is called KRISS, a manufacturer of .45-caliber machine guns,” Business Insider writes. “We did a bit more digging and stumbled on a promotional video for KRISS which features Broadwell in her role as, according to her website, ‘female model/demonstrator.’”

Broadwell also gives commentary throughout the video, highlighting the importance of accurate, lightweight weaponry.

Ian Hunter, "Michael Picasso"

This intensely personal and emotional Ian Hunter composition is a tribute to Mick Ronson, one of the many artists Hunter has worked with in his long and illustrious career. Multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer Ronson was born in Hull in 1946; his studio recordings included work as a session guitarist for Elton John and Michael Chapman. Ronson was recruited by David Bowie for his backing band The Spiders From Mars; he released three solo albums, and after Hunter left Mott The Hoople, the two teamed up as Hunter-Ronson.

Mick Ronson died from cancer of the liver on April 29, 1993, aged only 46.

Hunter ends the song with a few bars adapted from the Phil Spector composition "To Know Him Is To Love Him", as clearly he, and so many other people did. On April 29, 1994, Hunter was one of numerous big names who performed at the Mick Ronson Memorial Concert, Hammersmith. Hunter topped the bill at the second Mick Ronson Memorial Concert which was held at Hull on August 9, 1997 where he dedicated the song to Ronson's mother.

Ian Hunter, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy"

This was Hunter's first single after leaving Mott The Hoople. The extended version appears on the self-titled "Ian Hunter" album, which was released by CBS on March 28, 1975. The single was released April 4, entered the UK charts on May 3, and stayed there for ten weeks peaking at number 14; the B-side was "3,000 Miles From Here."

A number of artist have covered this song, including the heavy metal band Great White, who were nominated for a Grammy for it; Hunter was not entirely pleased. It was Great White's biggest hit, peaking at #5 in the US.

"Once Bitten Twice Shy" is an expression meaning that if you've been hurt, you are less likely to put yourself in that position again. In this song, Hunter sings to a girl who seems to take up with lots of musicians. He knows from past experience that he can't count on her.

Hunter started writing "Ships" when he was with Mott The Hoople, but it didn't appear on vinyl until 1979 when he recorded it for his solo album You're Never Alone With A Schizophrenic; the song has been described as a hymn-like ballad about his relationship with his father.

Barry Manilow's version was a #9 US hit in 1979. Hunter recalled to Mojo magazine: "That whole Manilow thing was quite amusing. That guy's no slouch when it comes to arranging. His dad had died. . . . It worked out fine for him."

Interestingly enough, Rear Adm. Gaouette, was returned to the U.S.

Petraeus, put out this statement: "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.”

It was not Petraeus, it was not Panetta, it was not Hillary, well, then, who else could it be?

Since it is obvious who failed to rescue the Ambassador those who got in the way had to go.

In an unusual move, the Navy replaced an admiral commanding an aircraft carrier strike group while it is deployed to the Middle East. On October 27th, Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette, the commander of the USS John C. Stennis strike group, was returned to the United States for temporary reassignment. It involved allegations of “inappropriate leadership judgment” and was not related to personal conduct.

Thereafter, on the 29th of October, U.S. military officials denied claims from a Washington Times blog that Gen. Carter Ham, former head of U.S. Africa command, may have been fired due to an intent to disobey defense secretary Leon Panetta's order to "stand down" while the Sept. 11 attacks in Benghazi were underway.

Petraeus was the third to go, not including General Stanley McChrystal who was only the second commanding general to be relieved of command during an active military campaign since World War II. Interestingly, McChrystal also had given a writer unprecedented access to their personal thoughts, as had Petraeus.

In an article written by freelance journalist Michael Hastings, "The Runaway General", appearing in issue no. 1108/1109 of Rolling Stone magazine (July 8–22, 2010), General Stanley McChrystal was critical of civilian authorities and subsequently resigned.

Why Did Obama Compromise Security?

The FBI investigation began last spring but right after the election Petraeus resigned, raising questions about the timing. Petraeus was being investigated while he was stationed in Afghanistan and even before he was appointed head of the CIA. At some point after Petraeus was sworn in as CIA director on Sept. 6, 2011, the woman broke up with him. However, Petraeus continued to pursue her. In any case, an affair that had actually ended as long ago as fourteen months previously so profoundly shook Petraeus that three days after a contentious election he decided to resign for "personal reasons." If you swallow that bitter pill I have swamp land in Florida to sell you.

High-level Justice Department officials knew by late summer of an ongoing investigation involving Petraeus, a source said.

Initial reports said the relationship ended before Petraeus took over the CIA in September 2011, but yesterday, ABC News and The Wall Street Journal said the affair actually began shortly after he was sworn in and ended only a few months ago. I would be suspect of the later developments because they fit the Obama spin better and they are not the initial story.

Furthermore, Petraeus was poised to testify about the Benghazi cover-up but now it will be delayed. However, if Obama knew about the affair before the election, why did Obama compromise security? The relationship that Petraeus had with his lover is a breach of top secret security requirements and could have compromised Petraeus. Still, the White House held off on asking for Petraeus’ resignation until after the election. Obama's reasoning is based on the possibility that the scandal would harm his re-election chances.

There is speculation that an anonymous letter on July 13, 2012 to the N.Y. Times is related to the affair.

A Georgia teacher involved in assigning third graders slavery-themed math homework has quit, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The unidentified teacher resigned during a human resources investigation into the assignment handed out.

CBS News Didn't Release Proof Obama lied to the American People about Benghazi

CBS News quietly released proof--two days before the election, far too late to reach the media and the public--that President Barack Obama lied to the public about the Benghazi attack, as well as about his later claim to have called the attack "terrorism" from the beginning.


Two days before the election, CBS posted additional portions of a Sept. 12 "60 Minutes" interview where President Obama seems to contradict himself on the Benghazi attack. As the Benghazi investigation gets more attention and focus, CBS is once again adding to the Benghazi timeline.  

In the interview, according to the latest portions, Obama would not say whether he thought the attack was terrorism. Yet he would later emphasize at a presidential debate that in the Rose Garden the same day, he had declared the attack an act of terror.

That moment was one of the most intense exchanges in the second presidential debate.  Romney was on the offensive on what some believe was a serious vulnerability of Obama -- the handling of the Benghazi attack and what he called it from the beginning.

The town hall questioner asked, "Who was it that denied enhanced security and why?"

Obama did not provide a direct answer, but said: "When I say that we are going to find out exactly what happened, everybody will be held accountable, and I am ultimately responsible for what's taking place there, because these are my folks, and I'm the one who has to greet those coffins when they come home, you know that I mean what I say."

Romney pounced, saying, "There were many days that passed before we knew whether this was a spontaneous demonstration or actually whether it was a terrorist attack. And there was no demonstration involved. It was a terrorist attack, and it took a long time for that to be told to the American people."

On rebuttal, Obama seemed rehearsed, but indignant. "The day after the attack, Governor, I stood in the Rose Garden, and I told the American people and the world that we are going to find out exactly what happened, that this was an act of terror... And the suggestion that anybody in my team, whether the secretary of state, our U.N. ambassador, anybody on my team would play politics or mislead when we've lost four of our own, Governor, is offensive. That's not what we do. That's not what I do as president. That's not what I do as commander in chief."

Governor Romney walked forward and started questioning ...

   ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack it was an act of terror. It was not a spontaneous demonstration.

   OBAMA: Please proceed.

   ROMNEY: Is that what you're saying?

   OBAMA: Please proceed, Governor.

   ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record, because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.

   OBAMA: Get the transcript.

   CROWLEY: It -- he did in fact, sir. So let me -- let me call it an act of terrorism -- (inaudible) --

   OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy? (Laughter, applause.)

   CROWLEY: He did call it an act of terror. It did as well take -- it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea of there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.

   ROMNEY: This -- the administration -- the administration -- (applause) -- indicated that this was a -- a reaction to a -- to a video and was a spontaneous reaction.

   CROWLEY: They did.

   ROMNEY: It took them a long time to say this was a terrorist act by a terrorist group and -- and to suggest -- am I incorrect in that regard? On Sunday the -- your -- your secretary or --

Obama -- who had clearly won the moment (largely thanks to Candy Crowley) -- clearly wanted to move on from that victorious moment -- and quickly.

   OBAMA: Candy --

   ROMNEY: Excuse me. The ambassador to the United Nations went on the Sunday television shows and -- and spoke about how this was a spontaneous reaction.

   OBAMA: Candy, I'm -- I'm happy to --

   CROWLEY: President, let me -- I --

   OBAMA: I'm happy to have a longer conversation about foreign policy.

   CROWLEY: I know you -- absolutely. But I want -- I want to move you on.

   OBAMA: OK, I'm happy to do that too.

   CROWLEY: And also, people can go to the transcripts and --

   OBAMA:I just want to make sure that --

   CROWLEY: -- figure out what was said and when.

   OBAMA:-- you know, all these wonderful folks are going to have a chance to get some -- their questions answered.

Now, we may know why.  Soon after that debate exchange, CBS released a previously unseen clip of an interview "60 Minutes'" Steve Kroft did with Obama on Sept. 12 -- the day after the Benghazi attack.

The clip added to the previous tape that had been released and seemed to back up Obama's claim that he was referring to the Benghazi attack as a terrorist act in the Rose Garden on Sept. 12. Here's what CBS put out Oct. 19, five weeks after the attack.

   KROFT: But there are reports that they were very heavily armed with grenades, that doesn’t sound like your normal demonstration.

   OBAMA:  As I said, we’re still investigating exactly what happened, I don’t want to jump the gun on this.   But your right that this is not a situation that was exactly the same as what happened in Egypt.   And my suspicion is there are folks involved in this. Who were looking to target Americans from the start.  So we’re gonna make sure that our first priority is to get our folks out safe, make sure our embassies are secured around the world and then we are going to go after those folks who carried this out."

After the second debate back and forth, this seemed to back up the president's stance. The only problem? Kroft started his question with "but."

I always thought, it seems that he's following up on a question -- I wonder if there was a question before that question?

This week, we got the CIA timeline of events in which they detail all of the response of the CIA and what they put up the chain of command in the minutes and hours after the attack began.  Of all the details of the specific times the CIA contractors respond to the fight, I found this one most interesting:

"1:15 a.m.: CIA reinforcements arrive on a 45-minute flight from Tripoli in a plane they've hastily chartered. The Tripoli team includes four GRS security officers, a CIA case officer and two U.S. military personnel who are on loan to the agency. They don't leave Benghazi airport until 4:30. The delay is caused by negotiations with Libyan authorities over permission to leave the airport, obtaining vehicles, and the need to frame a clear mission plan. The first idea is to go to a Benghazi hospital to recover Stevens, who they correctly suspect is already dead. But the hospital is surrounded by the Al Qaeda-linked Ansar al-Shariah militia that mounted the consulate attack."

So the U.S. Ambassador to Libya is at the Benghazi hospital and suspected dead. The CIA contractors know that, but they can't get there because the hospital is surrounded by the Al Qaeda-linked group Ansar al Shariah, the "militia that mounted the consulate attack."

This goes up the chain communication at 1:15 a.m. on Sept. 12.  The White House, the Situation Room, and all of those paying attention to intel channels know that the guys on the ground have determined the group that's behind this. It's the Al Qaeda-linked militia that are still fighting and have the hospital surrounded.

About 12 hours later -- before heading to Las Vegas for a campaign event -- Obama sits down for that "60 Minutes" interview with Steve Kroft.

And Sunday night, 54 days after the attack and almost two weeks after putting out the first additional clip that appeared to back up the president after the second debate, CBS without fanfare posted the rest of the Benghazi question online -- the question before the question.

   KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya Attack, do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?

   OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans.  And we are going to be working with the Libyan government to make sure that we bring these folks to justice, one way or the other.

   KROFT: It’s been described as a mob action, but there are reports that they were very heavily armed with grenades, that doesn’t sound like your normal demonstration.

   OBAMA:  As I said, we’re still investigating exactly what happened, I don’t want to jump the gun on this.   But your right that this is not a situation that was exactly the same as what happened in Egypt.  And my suspicion is there are folks involved in this.    KROFT: There have been reports, obviously this isn’t the first time…there have been attacks on the consulate before. There was an attack against the British ambassador. Do you…this occurred on Sept. 11. Can you tell me why the ambassador was in Benghazi yesterday? Was it to evaluate security at the consulate?

   OBAMA: Well keep in mind Chris Stevens is somebody that was one of the first Americans on the ground when we were in the process of saving Benghazi and providing the opportunity for Libyans to create their own democracy. So this is somebody who had been courageous, had been on the ground, had helped to advise me and Secretary Clinton when we were taking our actions against Muammar Qaddafi. And is somebody who is very familiar with the train. He was doing the work that he does as a diplomat helping to shape our policies in the region at a time when things are still fairly fragile. But I think it’s important to note that we have a Libyan government in place that is fully cooperative, that sees the United States as a friend that recognizes we played an important role in liberating Libya and providing the Libyan people an opportunity to forge their own destiny. And in fact we had Libyans who helped protect our diplomats when they were under attack. But this is a country that is still rebuilding in the aftermath of Qaddafi. They don’t necessarily always have the same capabilities that countries with more established governments might have in helping to provide protection to our folks. But beyond that, what I want to do is make sure that we know exactly what happened, how it happened, who perpetrated this action, then we’ll act accordingly."

It was the first time that class of Russian submarine had been detected near a U.S. coast. One defense official said the submarine was believed to have been conducting anti-submarine warfare efforts against U.S. ballistic and cruise missile submarines based at Kings Bay, Georgia. Officials also said that a Russian electronic intelligence-gathering vessel was granted safe harbor in the commercial port of Jacksonville, Fla., within listening range of Kings Bay. The Russian AGI ship, or Auxiliary-General Intelligence, was allowed to stay in the port to avoid the superstorm that battered the U.S. East Coast last week. The submarine deployment followed stepped-up Russian nuclear bomber activity near U.S. borders last summer, including the transit of two Bear-H strategic bombers near the Alaska air defense zone during Russian strategic bomber war games in arctic in late June. Then on July 4, in an apparent Fourth of July political message, a Russian Bear-H flew the closest to the U.S. West Coast that a Russian strategic bomber had flown since the Cold War when such flights were routine.

Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus || Spoken Word

The following is a transcript of Jefferson Bethke’s poem. What do you think?

What if I told you Jesus came to abolish religion?
What if I told you voting Republican really wasn’t his mission?
What if I told you “Republican” doesn’t automatically mean “Christian”?
And just because you call some people “blind” doesn’t automatically give you vision?
I mean, if religion is so great, why has it started so many wars?
Why does it build huge churches but fails to feed the poor?
Tells single moms God doesn’t love them if they’ve ever had a divorce?
But in the Old Testament God actually calls religious people “whores”
Religion might preach grace, but another thing they practice
Tend to ridicule God’s people, they did it to John the Baptist
They can’t fix their problems, and so they just mask it
Not realizing religion’s like spraying perfume on a casket
See, the problem with religion is it never gets to the core
It’s just behavior modification, like a long list of chores
Like, “Let’s dress up the outside, make it look nice and neat”
But it’s funny, that’s what they used to do to mummies while the corpse rots underneath
Now I ain’t judging, I’m just sayin’, “Quit puttin’ on a fake look”
’Cause there’s a problem if people only know that you’re a Christian by your Facebook
I mean, in every other aspect of life, you know that logic’s unworthy
It’s like saying you play for the Lakers just because you bought a jersey
See this was me, too, but no one seemed to be on to me
Actin’ like church kid while addicted to pornography
See, on Sunday I’d go to church, but Saturday gettin’ faded
Actin’ as if I was simply created to just have sex and get wasted
See, I spent my whole life buildin’ this façade of neatness
But now that I know Jesus, I boast in my weakness
Because if grace is water, then the church should be an ocean
It’s not a museum for good people; it’s a hospital for the broken
Which means I don’t have to hide my failure, I don’t have to hide my sin
’Cause it doesn’t depend on me; it depends on him
See, because when I was God’s enemy and certainly not a fan
He looked down and said, “I want that man!”
Which is why Jesus hated religion, and for it he called them fools
Don’t you see it’s so much better than just following some rules?
Now lemme clarify: I love the church, I love the Bible, and yes, I believe in sin
But if Jesus came to your church, would they actually let him in?
See, remember he was called a “glutton” and a “drunkard” by “religious men”
But the Son of God never supports self-righteousness; not now, not then
Now back to the point: One thing is vital to mention
How Jesus and religion are on opposite spectrums
See, one’s the work of God, but one’s a man-made invention
See, one is the cure, but the other’s the infection
See, because religion says “do,” Jesus says “done”
Religion says “slave,” Jesus says “son”
Religion puts you in bondage while Jesus sets you free
Religion makes you blind, but Jesus makes you see
And that’s why religion and Jesus are two different clans
Religion is man searching for God; Christianity is God searching for man
Which is why salvation is freely mine, and forgiveness is my own
Not based on my merits but Jesus’ obedience alone
Because he took the crown of thorns, and the blood dripped down his face
He took what we all deserved; I guess that’s why you call it “grace”
And while being murdered he yelled, “Father forgive them; they know not what they do”
Because when he was dangling on that cross, he was thinking of you
And he absorbed all your sin, and he buried it in the tomb
Which is why I’m kneeling at the cross, saying, “Come on! There’s room!”
So for religion, no, I hate it; in fact, I literally resent it
Because when Jesus said, “It is finished,” I believe he meant it
