High-level Justice Department officials knew by late summer of an ongoing investigation involving Petraeus, a source said.
Initial reports said the relationship ended before Petraeus took over the CIA in September 2011, but yesterday, ABC News and The Wall Street Journal said the affair actually began shortly after he was sworn in and ended only a few months ago. I would be suspect of the later developments because they fit the Obama spin better and they are not the initial story.
Furthermore, Petraeus was poised to testify about the Benghazi cover-up but now it will be delayed. However, if Obama knew about the affair before the election, why did Obama compromise security? The relationship that Petraeus had with his lover is a breach of top secret security requirements and could have compromised Petraeus. Still, the White House held off on asking for Petraeus’ resignation until after the election. Obama's reasoning is based on the possibility that the scandal would harm his re-election chances.
There is speculation that an anonymous letter on July 13, 2012 to the N.Y. Times is related to the affair.
"My wife is having an affair with a government executive. His role is to manage a project whose progress is seen worldwide as a demonstration of American leadership. (This might seem hyperbolic, but it is not an exaggeration.) I have met with him on several occasions, and he has been gracious. (I doubt if he is aware of my knowledge.) I have watched the affair intensify over the last year, and I have also benefited from his generosity. He is engaged in work that I am passionate about and is absolutely the right person for the job. I strongly feel that exposing the affair will create a major distraction that would adversely impact the success of an important effort. My issue: Should I acknowledge this affair and finally force closure? Should I suffer in silence for the next year or two for a project I feel must succeed? Should I be “true to my heart” and walk away from the entire miserable situation and put the episode behind me? NAME WITHHELD"

Dear Lord:
The American people have made their choice. They have decided that America must change its course, away from the principals of our Founders. And, away from the idea of individual freedom and individual responsibility. Away from capitalism, economic responsibility, and personal acceptance.
We are a Country in favor of redistribution, national weakness and reduced standard of living and lower and lower levels of personal freedom.
My regret, Lord, is that our young people, including those in my own family, never will know what America was like or might have been. They will pay the price in their reduced standard of living and, most especially, reduced freedom.
The takers outvoted the producers. In response to this, I have turned to my Bible and in II Peter, Chapter 1, verses 4-9 it says, “To faith we are to add goodness; to goodness, knowledge; to knowledge, self control; to self control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness; to godliness, kindness; to brotherly kindness, love.”
Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build. We ask for your guidance in this drastic time with the drastic decisions that will be made to have any hope of our survival as an American business enterprise.
Amen.

A Georgia teacher involved in assigning third graders slavery-themed math homework has quit, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The unidentified teacher resigned during a human resources investigation into the assignment handed out.
It‘s not the first time there’s been controversy over a Georgia public school assignment: In September, a father complained after his middle school daughter was sent home with an assignment that he said promoted Islamic Shariah law.

"We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
Obama, Apr. 6, 2009
Obama told reporters in Turkey that America is not defined by any one religion. Ive said before that one of the great strengths of the United States is, although, as I mentioned we have a very large Christian population. We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.

President John F. Kennedy's message to Turkey, on the 25th anniversary of Ataturk's death
Remarks on the 25th anniversary of the death of Kemal Atatürk, 4 November 1963
http://www.jfklibrary.org/Asset-Viewer/Archives/JFKWHA-237-001.aspx
What are the difference between President Kennedy's remarks about Ataturk and Turkey and Obama's statements?
Description: Audio recording of President John F. Kennedy’s remarks on the 25th anniversary of the death of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Turkish writer and first President of the modern Republic of Turkey. In his speech President Kennedy compliments Atatürk’s leadership, describes the United States’ historical relationship with Turkey, and characterizes the Turkey’s independence as an example of national self-reliance.
I am honoured to join in commemorating the 25th anniversary of the death
of Kemal Ataturk. The name of Ataturk brings to mind the historic
accomplishments of one of the great man of this century, his inspired
leadership of the Turkish People, his perceptive understanding of the
modern world and his boldness as a military leader.
It is to the credit of Ataturk and the Turkish People that a free Turkey
grew out of a collapsing empire and that the new Turkey has proudly
proclaimed and maintained its independence ever since. Certainly there is no
more successful example of national self reliance then the birth of the
Turkish republic and the profound changes initiated since then by Turkey
and Ataturk.
Ataturk was deeply interested in the friendly relations that have
traditionally existed between Turkey and the United States. He noted our
democratic governments and once said, prophetically, ' We are friends now
and we will be much closer friends in the future '.
Our present close alliance can be traced to the firm base prepared by
Ataturk for free government in an independent Turkey. I am proud that
United States can be a partner in this alliance linking us to the country of
Ataturk and to the ideals which Ataturk helped establish in Turkey and
the World.
I salute this great man on the anniversary of his death.

Should a warrant be required to track drivers and retain data on them? Why or why not? Does massive data collection and extensive records on file threaten the privacy of drivers?
Such data collection occurs regardless of whether the driver is a wanted criminal, and the vast majority are not. Vigilant Video distinguished itself from competitors by going one step further and collecting hundreds of millions of scans. Money has been available from homeland security grants and funds from Obama's Stimulus Bill (the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) and the result is an extraordinary volume of data on motorists.

MadeleineAlbright raps 'disgusting Serbs.'
During her tenure, Albright considerably influenced American policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Middle East. She incurred the wrath of a number of Serbs in the former Yugoslavia for her role in participating in the formulation of US policy during the Kosovo War and Bosnian war as well as the rest of the Balkans. According to Albright's memoirs, she once argued with Colin Powell for the use of military force by asking, "What’s the point of you saving this superb military for, Colin, if we can't use it?"

Albright and Clinton should be credited with the principle of elective wars to advance a social policy.
The U.S. bombed Serbia so that Muslim separatists could carve out their own autonomous zone in Serbia. Albright was one of the main architects of this war. The Eastern Christians had no one on their side as Clinton backed the Muslims against them. And the thanks from Islamists? 9/11

Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus || Spoken Word
The following is a transcript of Jefferson Bethke’s poem. What do you think?
What if I told you Jesus came to abolish religion?
What if I told you voting Republican really wasn’t his mission?
What if I told you “Republican” doesn’t automatically mean “Christian”?
And just because you call some people “blind” doesn’t automatically give you vision?
I mean, if religion is so great, why has it started so many wars?
Why does it build huge churches but fails to feed the poor?
Tells single moms God doesn’t love them if they’ve ever had a divorce?
But in the Old Testament God actually calls religious people “whores”
Religion might preach grace, but another thing they practice
Tend to ridicule God’s people, they did it to John the Baptist
They can’t fix their problems, and so they just mask it
Not realizing religion’s like spraying perfume on a casket
See, the problem with religion is it never gets to the core
It’s just behavior modification, like a long list of chores
Like, “Let’s dress up the outside, make it look nice and neat”
But it’s funny, that’s what they used to do to mummies while the corpse rots underneath
Now I ain’t judging, I’m just sayin’, “Quit puttin’ on a fake look”
’Cause there’s a problem if people only know that you’re a Christian by your Facebook
I mean, in every other aspect of life, you know that logic’s unworthy
It’s like saying you play for the Lakers just because you bought a jersey
See this was me, too, but no one seemed to be on to me
Actin’ like church kid while addicted to pornography
See, on Sunday I’d go to church, but Saturday gettin’ faded
Actin’ as if I was simply created to just have sex and get wasted
See, I spent my whole life buildin’ this façade of neatness
But now that I know Jesus, I boast in my weakness
Because if grace is water, then the church should be an ocean
It’s not a museum for good people; it’s a hospital for the broken
Which means I don’t have to hide my failure, I don’t have to hide my sin
’Cause it doesn’t depend on me; it depends on him
See, because when I was God’s enemy and certainly not a fan
He looked down and said, “I want that man!”
Which is why Jesus hated religion, and for it he called them fools
Don’t you see it’s so much better than just following some rules?
Now lemme clarify: I love the church, I love the Bible, and yes, I believe in sin
But if Jesus came to your church, would they actually let him in?
See, remember he was called a “glutton” and a “drunkard” by “religious men”
But the Son of God never supports self-righteousness; not now, not then
Now back to the point: One thing is vital to mention
How Jesus and religion are on opposite spectrums
See, one’s the work of God, but one’s a man-made invention
See, one is the cure, but the other’s the infection
See, because religion says “do,” Jesus says “done”
Religion says “slave,” Jesus says “son”
Religion puts you in bondage while Jesus sets you free
Religion makes you blind, but Jesus makes you see
And that’s why religion and Jesus are two different clans
Religion is man searching for God; Christianity is God searching for man
Which is why salvation is freely mine, and forgiveness is my own
Not based on my merits but Jesus’ obedience alone
Because he took the crown of thorns, and the blood dripped down his face
He took what we all deserved; I guess that’s why you call it “grace”
And while being murdered he yelled, “Father forgive them; they know not what they do”
Because when he was dangling on that cross, he was thinking of you
And he absorbed all your sin, and he buried it in the tomb
Which is why I’m kneeling at the cross, saying, “Come on! There’s room!”
So for religion, no, I hate it; in fact, I literally resent it
Because when Jesus said, “It is finished,” I believe he meant it
What is your reaction to the poem?

The Libyan Ambassador to the United States, Ali Sulaiman Aujali, vouched for Belhaj, however, Aujali appeared at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) convention. ISNA is a Muslim Brotherhood front group in America. On 13 September 2012, two days after the attack in Benghazi, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton celebrated the Muslim Eid holiday in the Ben Franklin room in Washington, D.C. and shared a podium with none other than Aujali and Farah Pandith, who is a prominent player for the Muslim Brotherhood in America. In 2009, Pandith was sworn in as a U.S. Representative to Muslim Communities by Hillary. Pandith followed the path of the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Congress and was sworn in on the Qur’an.
Sean Hannity revealed information on the audio tapes of Tyrone Woods begging for air support on 9-11: “My sources tell me they’re pretty damning, Juan. They’re begging for help.” Tyrone Woods was screaming for air support and Obama did nothing. Then he lied about it. Hannity said there are three tapes the Obama administration is holding onto including audio of Tyrone Woods begging for air support. The Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Charlene Lamb, testified before the House Oversight Committee, 10 October 2012, and indicated that soon after the attack started, she was able to monitor it from Washington, D.C., in “almost real time.” In addition, at an Oct. 25 Pentagon press briefing, a reporter noted that “there was, in fact, a drone over the CIA annex [in Benghazi] and there were intelligence officials fighting inside the annex.”
There are audio tapes, the testimony of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, and drones monitoring the attack; yet, Obama let Americans die.

Officials from the FBI and National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) each gave briefings on Capitol Hill in which they confirmed that the evidence supported al Qaeda and al Qaeda-affiliates were the ones responsible for the attack.
Yet, on September 25, Obama took to the floor of the UN and in a lengthy speech, linked the carnage in Benghazi to that same video no less than six times.

Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea
We don’t have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff
We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you
We haven’t killed all the polar bears
But it’s not for lack of trying
The Earth is cracked
Big Bird is sacked
And the atmosphere is frying
Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can’t cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it’s welfare dough
We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you
Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair
It’s a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term’s kind of a drag
We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we’re blaming you
You did your best
You failed the test
Mom and Dad
We’re blaming you!

The issue over the orange triangles has come up before in other states with Amish populations. Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania have allowed exemptions for the Swartzentrubers, and courts in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan have sided with them.
But police and prosecutors in Kentucky say the orange triangles are the law because they help motorists see the buggies and avoid collisions.
Should the Amish be forced to comply with signs that compromise their religious beliefs? Why or why not?
